This bug is driving me crazy. I'm literally going to throw my PC against the wall in a minute and apply for Windows licence just so that I can have my monitor wake up once in a *** while. Oops, I got linked to this bug from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2220583page=4 I didn't realise it was registered as an Nvidia bug though. [Bug 1315600] [NEW] plasma-wallpaper-weather doesn't seem to work at all. On any settings.
Public bug reported: 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using: Kubuntu 14.04 LTS 2) The version of the package you are using: 4:4.13.0-0ubuntu1 3) What you expected to happen: The wallpaper to change with the weather and to be able to select a wallpaper per weather type in advanced settings. 4) What happened instead: The wallpaper just changes to the default KDE wallpaper and some config settings in advanced don't save. To replicate: Default Desktop settings, Wallpaper: Weather, Location: Tried many, none worked, Advanced settings: selecting a picture is hit and miss but even if you do get it to select the picture you want for the weather you want nothing happens, and more usualy it doesn't keep the setting.
