The updated binaries still haven't been committed. It's been quite
awhile now. What's the holdup?

[Bug 574830] Re: Post Lucid Lynx 10.04 upgrade from 9.10, unable to burn DVDs

2010-05-04 Thread Cali Burn
Further testing indicates that it is purely a burning issue; playback on
DVD is good, can rip from DVD drive to avi file - however, still getting
the same error when attempting to burn. Hope this helps!

[Bug 574830] [NEW] Post Lucid Lynx 10.04 upgrade from 9.10, unable to burn DVDs

2010-05-03 Thread Cali Burn
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

1. Lucid Lynx 10.04, upgrade from 9.10
2. Using Brasero 2.30.0
3. Previously under 9.10 I was able to successfully burn DVDs (DVD-R) using
Brasero
4. Post 10.04, although the DVD drives are identified successfully, Brasero now
says that that it is unable to burn DVDs due to an internal error

This problem has ONLY occurred since an upgrade to Lucid Lynx - nothing else
has changed!
I also get this problem when attempting to burn using K9B.
It is NOT a media problem - I have since disconnected the drive from my Linux
machine, attached to Windows, and a DVD that Brasero rejected has now burnt
successfully on Windows.

Oddly enough, CD's burn successfully under Lucid... but not DVDs.

Have enabled the medibuntu repositories and re-installed (and upgraded)
libdvdcss, then restarted... no joy.

[Bug 242986] Re: gpib-modules-source will not compile

2009-07-20 Thread burn
Compilation fails using the module-assistant with gpib 3.2.11-0.2ubuntu3 and
kernel 2.6.28-14 in 7.02, even when I change the kill_proc to kill_pid in
sys/ibinit.c
(
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=2547889group_id=42378atid=432940
 )

But strangly it compiles when I download the files from http://linux-
gpib.sourceforge.net/ (after changing the kill_proc to kill_pid).
Comparing the two files ( cb7210/cb7210_cs.c ) shows no diffrerence

[Bug 184941] seahorse cannot decrypt files with a #-sign in the filename

2008-01-21 Thread Burn
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: seahorse

seahorse cannot decrypt files with a #-sign in the filename, for example
test#3.ods.gpg.

Here is the relevant line from using strace on seahorse-tool on the

test
lstat64(/home/.../.../test, 0xbff4bc7c) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or

[Bug 50126] fglrx power-state doesn't change automatically

2006-06-17 Thread Burn
Public bug reported:

When a laptop uses battery power, he should choose one of the lower
aticonfig power states (if you are using the fglrx video card driver).
For the moment the GPU is still using 100% of it's strength (I have to
manually choose another power state). This should be integrated in
gnome-power-manager (or laptop-mode-tools?) and happen automatically I
guess? By using a lower fglrx power state, a laptop uses 15% less
energy.
