[Bug 445849] Re: Highpitched rattling like sound with 5.1 surround configuration

2010-10-17 Thread Carlos Sánchez Mateo
@David. Thanks a lot!!!

It seems I also suffer bug #434042, even the bug is expired, one of the
workarounds worked!
Related to the current bug, I can say 5.1 works correctly for me and I'm not
hearing any distortion.

Funny fact: The bug has been fixed for me 1 year and 1 day after my
initial report comment #2

[Bug 445849] Re: Highpitched rattling like sound with 5.1 surround configuration

2010-10-14 Thread Carlos Sánchez Mateo
In my case the patch don't work.

I have a Philips PSC805, and the problem continues. In order to check, I
have deleted the PulseAudio config files, restart my pc. I can play
sound but just after moving the volume slider the bug appears, no
apparent change.

I'm running Maverick with the last updtes. If you need some debug I'm
able to provide it.

Yes,

I have added the ppa, updated and verified that all the packages related
to pulseaudio are updated. For example, for pulseaudio the version
installed is: 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu22~diwic

and the problem persists. Deleting pulseaudio conf and moving the

[Bug 574795] [NEW] Wireless network dies unexpectedly

2010-05-03 Thread Carlos Sánchez Mateo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

After upgrading to lucid wifi network starts to work badly. Two things
seem to happen:

1) Wifi stops transmiting but it appears to be connected

2) Wifi disconnects (message is shown). The network-manager tries to
reconnect and it finishes with an error or asking again the password.
Entering the password doesn't succeed.

Only workaround to reconnect is to deactivate Wifi interface and
activate it again. However, it happens again after some minutes.

[Bug 445849] Re: Highpitched Rattling like Sound with 5.1 Surround Configuration on Karmic Koala

2009-10-16 Thread Carlos Sánchez Mateo
Also affects me.

Previously with Jaunty audio was working perfectly. After update to
Karmic (in Alpha 5) I haven't been able to use the USB external sound
card which is 5.1 surround. A really loud noise makes it unusable,
however you can hear in some way the correct sound is playing.

I have attached the apport data if useful.

This must be a regression issue.
