The torrent is added to be downloaded in both cases. Related to the current bug, I can say 5.1 works correctly for me and I'm not hearing any distortion. In my case the patch don't work. I have a Philips PSC805, and the problem continues. In order to check, I have deleted the PulseAudio config files, restart my pc. I can play sound but just after moving the volume slider the bug appears, no apparent change. I'm running Maverick with the last updtes. [Bug 574795] [NEW] Wireless network dies unexpectedly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager After upgrading to lucid wifi network starts to work badly. Two things seem to happen: 1) Wifi stops transmiting but it appears to be connected 2) Wifi disconnects (message is shown). The network-manager tries to reconnect and it finishes with an error or asking again the password. Entering the password doesn't succeed. Only workaround to reconnect is to deactivate Wifi interface and activate it again. However, it happens again after some minutes. Also affects me. Previously with Jaunty audio was working perfectly. After update to Karmic (in Alpha 5) I haven't been able to use the USB external sound card which is 5.1 surround. A really loud noise makes it unusable, however you can hear in some way the correct sound is playing. I have attached the apport data if useful.
