[Bug 1636411] [NEW] Evolution does not respect settings

Public bug reported:

Every time I start Evolution it is showing spelling errors as I type.
If I check composer preferences for spell checking the check box for
checking spelling as I type is NOT checked.  If I check it, then uncheck
it and close, evolution stops checking spelling as I type.

This has only happened since I installed 16.04 Xubuntu. I have evolution
3.18.5.2.

I have not had any problems since I changed the layout manually using
the settings manager, even after software updates.

Thanks for the information.  I'm not aware of any copy and paste
problems on my pc.  

I corrected my keyboard layout using the Settings Manager.

You could well be right.  The point I was making was that the published
workaround for a known bug did not help me at all.  I changed the setup
manually.
