[Bug 1455881] Re: Global history for apt package management
Sorry it's still a problem in Ubuntu 18.04 and yes, I'm still interested in finding a solution. I think "apport-collect 1455881" is not necessary. The problem is extremely easy to reproduce. I can understand that some people consider this as enhancement or feature but I think this is a bug. [Bug 1628862] [NEW] RSS & "Accept-Language" header
Public bug reported: Some RSS feeds evaluate the "Accept-Language" header of the request to deliver the content in the correct language. Unfortunately my German Thunderbird delivers the content in English. I've tested the RSS-URL in Firefox and the content was German. I changed the "Accept-Language" header with Tamper Data in Firefox to English and the content switched to English. I don't know a tool like Tamper Data for Thunderbird. So I can't check the "Accept-Language" header directly. I also don't see a way to configure this in Thunderbird. This problem appears circa one year ago (not sure). So it worked in the past. [Bug 990244] Re: boot screen graphic destroyed
Ubuntu 12.04 was a fresh installation (no upgrade). But yes, this bug happens also with former ubuntu versions. I've this problem also with my old computer (also nvidia graphic card). And yes, there was a unbuntu version in the past where the boot splash was normal (on my old computer), but I don't know which one. Sorry, not very helpfull, I know. Maybe this has something to do with my problem, but the fix don't work for me: http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-Fix-the-Big-and-Ugly-Plymouth-Logo-in-Ubuntu-10-04-140810.shtml However, the /usr/share/doc/plymouth/README.Debian file means: For nVidia and ATI users, the default nouveau and radeon drivers are Kernel Mode Setting enabled, but do not always provide 3D capability at the current time. Here is a photo of the problem... ... and I found an other very strange behavior. If I boot in the rescue mode, then I've no boot splash (That's normal, I know). Now I press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart and boot ubuntu in the normal mode. In this case the boot splash works!!! But if the boot before also in normal mode (means no rescue) then the boot splash is corrupted. Maybe the problem is the previously shutdown. Maybe the shutdown leaves somesing behind, which corrupts the splash by the next boot. ** Attachment added: Photo of the problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/990244/+attachment/3121453/+files/photo.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990244 Title: boot screen graphic destroyed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/990244/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 990823] [NEW] icedtea doesn't find java executable
Public bug reported: icedtea search the java executable in /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk- amd64/jre/bin But it's in /usr/bin/java (link) and the link links to /etc/alternatives/java (also link) and this link links to /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin/java I think icedtea should search java in /usr/bin or in /etc/alternatives And yes, icedtea worked after an other manual link creation. ** Affects: icedtea-web (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990823 Title: icedtea doesn't find java executable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/icedtea-web/+bug/990823/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 990830] [NEW] xfce4 cpugraph colors are nearly equal to panel color
Public bug reported: I installed xubuntu 12.04 (standard desktop design). After that I installed xfce4-cpugraph-plugin (1.0.1-2). I activated tho option to monitor all processors. I can't change the color of the bar chart and it's nearly equal to panel color (hard to read). Also the right-click doesn't work on this plugin (to get the plugin options). ** Affects: xfce4-cpugraph-plugin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990830 Title: xfce4 cpugraph colors are nearly equal to panel color To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-cpugraph-plugin/+bug/990830/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 990839] [NEW] xfce4 diskperf colors are nearly equal to panel color
Public bug reported: I installed xubuntu 12.04 (standard desktop design). After that I installed xfce4-diskperf-plugin (2.3.0-2). I choosed /dev/sda and separate bar charts for read an write. The choosen colors have no effect. The colors are nearly equal to panel color (hard to read). [Bug 990214] [NEW] Wrong keyboard layout by graphical login
Public bug reported: I have installed a new xubuntu (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS) on an empty system. My home directory is encrypted (checkbox by install). The text console (F1, F2, F3... ) uses the german keyboard layout (correct). The lightdm 1.2.1-0ubuntu1 uses an english keyboard (maybe us) and there is no chooser. I also tried xdm 1:1.1.11-1ubuntu1 with the same result. /etc/default/keyboard XKBMODEL=pc105 XKBLAYOUT=de XKBVARIANT= XKBOPTIONS= BACKSPACE=guess /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf [SeatDefaults] greeter-session=lightdm-gtk-greeter user-session=xubuntu allow-guest=false [default-display] language=de_DE.utf8 layout=de ~/.dmrc (but encrypted...)
