[Bug 788607] Re: gnome terminal hiding other windows and screensaver with dual screens
I also see this problem. Unity 2D, 12.04, dual-display width 2048. Terminal won't ever go behind other windows. In addition, the terminal stays in front of its own menus, so the menus are unusuable, and also stays in front of any pop up dialogues (e.g. the one which says that a process is still running and do you want to kill it). [Bug 683118] Re: i2c errors with af9015 / tda18271 (V4L DVB)
Just a further note for anyone else affected by this bug - whilst there is definitely a driver issue (in my opinion) with the af9015 which relates to an inability to recover from tuning errors and is therefore more of an issue for people exposed to low signal strength, I have managed to work around this in my particular situation as follows: 1) Under the MythTV backend settings, under Capture Cards, for each tuner card, I have set the Tuning Timeout (ms) to the maximum allowed (15000), and under the Tuning Options screen set the DVB tuning delay (ms) to 2000. 2) In addition, under the Input Connections, I have the Use Quick Tuning set to Always. 3) Lastly, this set up seems to work *much* more reliably with the 4.65 firmware than the 4.95 firmware. I hope this helps others. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/683118 Title: i2c errors with af9015 / tda18271 (V4L DVB) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 683118] Re: i2c errors with af9015 / tda18271 (V4L DVB)
I have the same problem. HW is Leadtek WinFast DTV Dongle Gold running on Ubuntu 10.10 and 2.6.35-27. The tuners used to be quite reliable, so something has changed. The tuners do run ok for a random amount of time (up to 24 hours), but then once the error messages below turn up in syslog the tuners will not work again without being unplugged and replugged. The issue occurs on first tuning the tuner to record a programme (via MythTV). This suggests to me that the issue is perhaps being caused by a poor signal, but the driver is not then reacting to that error correctly, which leaves the tuner in a state which it is unable to recover from. Just conjecture, but I am hoping this helps. Below is an extract of syslog with the relevant messages (these are repeated many multiples of times).
