On a fresh install of 10.04 updated to 10.10 desktop ubuntu I am getting
this error as well.

Aspire One 1.5GB RAM 32GB SSD

I also am experiencing this problem, running 10.10 netbook edition on my
Aspire One ZG5

It is quite inconvenient since the SD slot that works is set so that the
SD card is flush with the case when inserted.

I've been having this bug lately.  Also on an Acer Aspire One, but running 
10.10 NBE.
Mine has an Atheros AR5001 wireless card.

I am also experiencing this, also on an Acer Aspire One AOA 110 with a
32GB SSD.

It seems like this issue is mostly affecting SSD based systems.
