[Bug 1387887] Re: Malformed expression after converting from decimal to hex

2014-10-31 Thread Chris Malton
Sebastien, this looks like upstream bug 7289233
(https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=728933), patched in
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-
calculator/commit/?id=9ff8396ca73eaade391acc9eceacc1fcfe774cfc

Can we get this through as an SRU?

2014-09-25 Thread Chris Malton
@Gunnar: Thanks for pointing me to the link.

Based on what I'm seeing, the .deb in Amr's PPA generally looks good in
terms of backport. I am, however, by no means an expert in this field.

@Ubuntu Sponsors Team - Does Amr's patch look good or is there something
else you need one of us to do?

2014-09-24 Thread Chris Malton
@Gunnar - Are you suggesting that the update from 3.10.2 to 3.10.3
should be provided as a patch in debian/patches? Surely this isn't the
right way to package a new upstream micro release?

As per section 6 in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates, I
believe the right way to ship this is to ship the new upstream
microrelease, which I believe Amr has done, and provided a debdiff.

Where is Leon's patch for Saucy? I can't see it on this bug report.

@Amr - If I get a chance tonight and a response to the whereabouts of the patch
for Saucy, I'll see if I can put a debdiff together for this.

[Bug 1171342] Re: mouse scroll wheel not working in gedit System Monitor

2013-10-22 Thread Chris Malton
My setup has no Compiz, as far as I'm aware.

I originally installed Ubuntu, forgetting how badly I get on with GNOME
Shell/GNOME 3 etc, and then did an apt-get install xfce4.

Perhaps not the right way to install XFCE, but the only thing my scroll
wheel is now used for (other than scrolling up/down documents) is
changing workspaces when over the workspace switcher and/or the desktop.

[Bug 1171342] Re: mouse scroll wheel not working in gedit System Monitor

2013-10-22 Thread Chris Malton
Hi Christopher,

It was pre-bound as part of installing XFCE4. I haven't added/removed any
mouse bindings that I know about.
Standard behaviour in XFCE4's workspace switcher is that scroll-wheel switches
workspace, and scrolling on the desktop has the same effect.

[Bug 234278] [NEW] baobab fails to show usage after hitting refresh

2008-05-23 Thread Chris Malton
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: baobab

OS: Ubuntu Hardy (8.04)
Package version: baobab 2.20.0.1-1ubuntu5
Mirror: Positive Internet

After telling baobab (Disk Usage Analyser - DUA) to scan a remote
partition, the first time the usage column is correctly shown. When I
hit Refresh in the DUA, the usage column turns to -.-% for all entries
except the folder I told it scan which reports 100%.

See the attached screenshot (folder names blurred).

When I hit refresh I expect the Usage column to reflect the new usage.

[Bug 173132] Re: package network-manager 0.6.5-0ubuntu17 failed to install/upgrade:

2007-12-05 Thread Chris Malton
I personally think the priority of this bug should be increased.

It leaves me with a completely dead system and I have to power cycle to
go anywhere.

I accidentally duped this bug at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/174093
