[Bug 1818902] Re: The io.elementary.camera package installs on Ubuntu Disk 19.04 normally, but does not open the video image.

2019-07-09 Thread Chris Mayo
I think a change in Ubuntu broke ClutterGstCamera.

I don't use io.elementary.camera but have my own program that also uses
ClutterGstCamera. Up until about a month ago it was working fine on
18.04. Now it gives the same error:

Clutter-Gst-CRITICAL **: Unable to setup device without element factory,
node and name set 0x2c83820 0x2fe26f0 (nil)

It doesn't work on 19.04 either. Still works on Gentoo Linux.

** Package changed: camera-app (Ubuntu) => clutter-gst-3.0 (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: clutter-gst-3.0 (Ubuntu)
   Status: Invalid => Confirmed

[Bug 1272653] [NEW] software-center uses first installed version of ubuntu for partner repository after upgrade

2014-01-25 Thread Chris Mayo
Public bug reported:

After upgrading from raring to saucy using do-release-upgrade and then
enabling partner repository in software-center GUI,
/etc/apt/sources.list has:

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu raring partner

Manually editing sources.list changing to saucy fixes this.

$ apt-cache policy software-center
software-center:
  Installed: 13.10-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 13.10-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 13.10-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ saucy/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Also seen on a computer that had been upgraded oneiric - precise - quantal -
raring - saucy, sources.list still had oneiric.

** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

** Package changed: app-install-data-partner (Ubuntu) = software-center
(Ubuntu)
