Public bug reported:
Version information: Ubuntu Release: Ubuntu 18.10 xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: 1:1.0.15-3 gnome-control-center: 3.30.2 Expected Behavior: Launching gnome-control-center should show Ubuntu settings. What Happens: Launching gnome-control-center causes gnome to crash, resulting in user being logged out and returned to login screen. Further Information: I ran `gnome-control-center -v > out.log 2>&1&` to investigate and get the following in the log... nvc0_screen_create:983 - Error allocating PGRAPH context for M2MF: -16 XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0" after 11 requests (11 known processed) with 0 events remaining. Disabling gnome extensions does not help. Switching to proprietary drivers resolves the issue. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1809507 Title: gnome crashes when opening gnome-control-center To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/1809507/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
