[Bug 1507232] Re: Mangler mangling hostname/port information in wily

2015-12-22 Thread Chris Y.
Does this not affect everyone? For me this program has been largely
broken for two months now. Just wondering how widespread this is and if
there's a workaround. Does this bug only exist in the newest version?

[Bug 371897]

2015-06-15 Thread Chris Y.
I use a Behringer Xenyx302 USB sound mixer as my sound device, which
works great with Pulseaudio but not with Wine. I mainly use wine-staging
now thanks to the built-in PulseAudio driver. I'd love to see this
adopted into Wine.

So... when I do a Ctrl+Left or Ctrl+Right, is that switching between
workspaces or viewports? If it's switching between viewports, and
Workspace Switcher works with viewports, I should be able to see the
previews, but I don't.

[Bug 175035] Re: Connection to MSN often lost

2008-01-08 Thread Chris Y.
Description updated, as at some point MSN started working again --
although the connection is very unreliable.

** Summary changed:

- Cannot connect to MSN
+ Connection to MSN often lost

** Description changed:

- I've tried reinstalling Pidgin, installing from the source (which I
- couldn't get to work), and even installing GNU TLS, OpenSSL, and SILC.
- I've tried using the HTTP method, and switching from the GNOME Proxy
- Settings to No Proxy. No matter what I do, I can't get Pidgin to connect
- to MSN.
+ Okay, I previously couldn't connect to MSN at all, but at some point it
+ just started working. However, I often lose my connection to MSN, and
+ sometimes I have to wait a bit before I can connect again. What might be
+ wrong here? I'm not behind a firewall -- at least, not one that would
+ interfere with MSN.

Additionally, sometimes when I click to switch to a workspace, I become
trapped on that workspace, unable to switch as both top and bottom panels have
disappeared, as well as the files on the Desktop.)

[Bug 172623] Re: Windows don't show up on other desk previews on workspace switcher

2007-11-29 Thread Chris Y.
Well, I just made another user (guest), and I can't seem to even
enable Visual Effects on that one. Don't know why, it just says it can't
enable it. Odd. However, when I turn off Visual Effects under my
username, the problem goes away. I guess I'll just have to keep them off
for now, until we can figure out the problem (if possible).

As for the video card, it's actually integrated graphics: Intel 945G

[Bug 172623] Re: Windows don't show up on other desk previews on workspace switcher

2007-11-28 Thread Chris Y.
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: gnome-panel

When I move an application window to another workspace, it doesn't show
up on the workspace preview panel. When I go to that workspace, however,
the application window is there, but the preview of the original
workspace disappears. This doesn't always happen, but usually the
problem is fixed by restarting my computer. This doesn't seem to be the
case anymore; I can't fix it.

- EDIT: When I move to a workspace that has stuff on it (I can't tell until I
move to it) everything reappears -- fades in as I have the visual effects on
Extra. This shouldn't be happening, obviously. And I know this isn't a normal
thing, so there must be a conflict with something else, I imagine?
- (All windows also reappear when I do a Ctrl+F Find in a cell of Calc.
That's just weird.)

Ctrl+F Find in a cell of Calc. That's just weird.
+ Additionally, sometimes when I click to switch to a workspace, I become
trapped on that workspace, unable to switch as both top and bottom panels have
disappeared, as well as the files on the Desktop.)
