[Bug 1453549] Re: Cannot publish to Facebook

2015-05-10 Thread ChrisH
I have the same problem. I've tried removing Shotwell from the list of
apps authorised for Facebook and then reauthorising and Shotwell doesn't
seem to request posting permission.

Should add I'm using 0.20.2, being the latest version in the yorba PPA
for Trusty.

[Bug 250315] Re: Gnome Archive Manager wrong display the same filename multiply times in rar archive

2009-02-17 Thread ChrisH
Hi,

This bug affects me too - I am also on Hardy 64-bit.

The bug manifests itself when I try to open a .rar file using the
archive manager by double clicking on the rar file in a file manager
window. The archive window opens as usual and it shows the correct
number of files - however, all of the files appear to have the same name
and they wont extract properly.

If you decompress the rar files at the command line using unrar it works
fine so there doesn't seem to be a particular problem with the rar files
or unrar itself. The problem is in the GUI somewhere.

(I have both rar and unrar installed)

[Bug 281711] Re: network-manager issues with system settings AND secrets (Was: doesn't save wep key on a system setting connection)

2008-11-27 Thread ChrisH
I'm experiencing the same issue with a fresh installation of intrepid.
Connections not marked system are retained, but those marked system are
not. Additionally, a 'non-system' setting can not be changed to system -
this setting is also lost.

[Bug 227214] Re: many apps randomly lose focus

2008-09-14 Thread ChrisH
If it's in the window manager then it's metacity - I've never used
compiz on my machine because my X61 thinkpad has the intel965 graphics
that is still blacklisted.

[Bug 227214] Re: many apps randomly lose focus

2008-05-08 Thread ChrisH
This seems to be linked to these bugs:

https://launchpad.net/bugs/67476

https://launchpad.net/bugs/54300

Using an IM (it's a problem for me in both pidgin and aMSN), the focus
gets stolen when one of your contacts logs on or out so it is very
irritating...

[Bug 67476] Re: Dialogs of background applications pop up in the foreground

2008-05-08 Thread ChrisH

This is related to:

https://launchpad.net/bugs/227214

This focus stealing problem is really annoying in IM clients where focus
gets stolen from your conversation window by the contacts window when
one of your friends logs in or out... this can happen every few seconds.

Yes, I ran Feisty and Gutsy on my laptop quite happily without this problem -
considering reverting to the Gibbon at the moment...

[Bug 227214] Re: many apps randomly lose focus

2008-05-08 Thread ChrisH

To add some more detail in the case of aMSN:

In the Chat window the conversation pane seems to steal focus from the
text input pane whenever your contact changes status in some way. e.g.
contactx joins the conversation, etc.

[Bug 227214] Re: many apps randomly lose focus

2008-05-07 Thread ChrisH
Exactly the same thing is happening to me after upgrading from 7.10... I
also got the same messages about unstable repositories. The problem is
particularly noticeable when using IM clients...

Has anyone got any suggestions?
