I tested this with a fresh Hardy installation. I started Evolution, set up a local Calendar and added a appointment and a alarm, but nothing happens. It doesn't remember me. This sucks, because I have the same problem on 3 other Ubuntu machines with 8.04. After a suspend i must kill pulseaudio, because its blocking my audio device... Sound looks like its playing, but I cant hear anything.. then I reload my soundmodule: rmmod snd_intel8x0 modprobe snd_intel8x0 and then I restart pulseaudio. Voila, sound is working again.
