[Bug 1310561] Re: crashes after returning from screen saver

2015-08-12 Thread Christian Peuntiger
In case you don't use PortAudio (but e.g. PulsAudio) there is a
workaround:

delete or rename
/usr/share/jitsi/lib/native/libjnportaudio.so

this solved the issue in my case

Thanks to Ingo who figured that out!
Here's the discussion in the jitsi issues:

[Bug 1310561] Re: crashes after returning from screen saver

2015-06-10 Thread Christian Peuntiger
This bug also affects Lubuntu 15.04 and makes jitsi more or less useless.
Is this a Ubuntu bug, a java bug or a jitsi bug?

[Bug 1385009] Re: Hangs up on text edit

2015-01-23 Thread Christian Peuntiger
I can confirm this bug on Lubuntu 14.10 as well as on Ubuntu 14.10

Additionally, I think (but I'm not sure how to prove it) evince suffers
from the same bug. It freezes if I want to fill forms in PDF documents.
Starting evince with 'unset GTK_IM_MODULE evince' again works as a
workaround.

This could be an indicator, that Reinhold is right and the problem is in
the xim module (or somewhere else), but not in inkscape/evince.

[Bug 1255630] Re: Gummi crashes when saving or exporting

2013-12-13 Thread Christian Peuntiger
I tried to use
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gummi/0.6.3-1.2/+build/3881022
as an ugly workaround, but this did not help, the issue persists.

[Bug 1183580] Re: [SRU] librcc segfaults on latest saucy

2013-11-19 Thread Christian Peuntiger
Hello everybody,

I installed version 0.2.9-3.1ubuntu0.1 of librcc (from the saucy proposed
sources) on my 13.10 (64bit amd) machine and it perfectly worked for the "music
on console"-player mocp. So it looks like the bug is fixed. I'm not sure
whether this "test" is enough to add the "verification-done"-tag. Is it?
Anyway, thanks for the fix!
