pretty sure, it has nothing to do with your problems. You should open a

CyanogenMod? Remeber, MTP works well, as long as your Smartphone
contains just a couplfe of files. As soon as you transfer your whole
music collection to your phone, MTP breaks on Ubuntu.

When I connect my Galaxy Nexus to my system (up to date precise) and try
to access the data on my phone, I get the following error...

The folder contents could not be displayed.
Sorry, could not display all the contents of Galaxy: DBus error 
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes 
include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security 
policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection 
was broken.

In Oneiric accessing Android 4.0 devices via Nautilus worked. Not very
good, but transfering a couple of files didn't fail.

I installed gnome-gmail inside ubuntu oneiric with gnome-shell form the
repositories and activated Gnome Gmail inside my prefered
applications. It works, when i click on a mailto link inside a browser,
gmail opens inside a new tab inside my browser. But i noticed, that it's
not possible to send files as attachment from within Nautilus. When I
open Nautilus, select a file and choose Send by mail from the context
menu, i get a notification telling my that GNOME Gmail is unable to
determine IMAP Drafts folder location.

Hi David, hmmm... I use Ubuntu as well as Gmail in German. So I've got
no language mismatch. I get the same error, when i change my gmail
settings to use english. On the other hand, it doesn't help when i
change inside /usr/bin/gnome-gmail the folder_name of the drafts folder.
Per default line 143 looks like this...

folder_name = _(Drafts)

...but when I use...

folder_name = _(Entwürfe)

...nothing happens when, when I start Nautilus from the shell I see the 
following error:   File /usr/bin/gnome-gmail, line 143
SyntaxError: Non-ASCII character '\xc3' in file /usr/bin/gnome-gmail on line 
143, but no encoding declared; see http://www.python.org/peps/pep-0263.html for 
details

When I encode the umlaut into...

folder_name = _(Entwuuml;rfe)

I get the same Unable to determine IMAP Drafts folder location error
as before.

I used http://delog.wordpress.com/2011/05/10/access-imap-server-from-
the-command-line-using-openssl/ to gain direct access to  gmail account.
When i LIST all my folders, i can see that all IMAP specific folders
go english names...

* LIST (\HasNoChildren) / INBOX
* LIST (\HasNoChildren) / Queue
* LIST (\HasNoChildren) / Sent
* LIST (\HasNoChildren) / Trash

...even though my Gmail frontend is set to german.

Rafael, what do you mean with stopped working. This issue is about
errating movements, when multitouch is activated and since multitouch is
*deactivated* i'm pretty sure, that this issue is not related to you
problem. I own a Magic Mouse and I run Ubuntu Natty, too. And I can't
confirm your problem. Ubuntu handels the Magic Mouse quite fine, except
multitouch, but this is another story.

Unity and it's missing notification area breaks gajim... Please try the
following:

Start Gajim so that Gajim appears inside the launcher, close it with the
red close button  and Gajim get's removed from the launcher (But is
still running). So far so good... Now try to reopen you gajim session.
There's no way to get back to you session but to restart Gajim from the
dash. Gajim will start again and will tell you that there is allready an
active gajim session running. You can either tell gajim to start another
session or quit. In my eyes there's no way to get back to you old
session. So i have to kill the running gajim session to finally get rid
of it

Now it get's even worse. When I restart gajim it can't be found on your
screen. Gajim remembers that it has been minimised and restarts into the
same status. So once again, no Gajim on your Desktop. You've got to
fiddle inside the config files inside ~/.gajim (or delete the folder) to
set the status to not minimzed, to get back a working Gajim client.

Live Messenger doesn't know, that i accepted the call within Empathy

remote), but often the call gets interrupted as soon as the remote picture

Thanks Henrik, with your package it's much better to work with the magic
mouse. It's a pity that we've got to postpone multitouch for the magic
mouse, but at least it's possible to use the mouse now (left-, middle,
right-click, horizontal and vertical scrolling) without tweaking. Of
course something like gesturetest windowid 0 0xfff returns nothing
anymore.

surface and create a click on the mouse button without actually
clicking the mouse button. This is very confusing since you've got to
watch out not to touch the surface of the mouse. If you don't, you'll
click accidentally on your desktop all the time.

I understand that there are very strong belives here. If devs think,
that the asterisks should not be shown, then this is fine with me. But
why not just edit the text which is displayed when someone opens a
terminal? Please read what I wrote in the first posting of this issue...

I can confirm this issue for maverick. mikbini's workaround doesn't
help. Even with skype4pidgin it's not possible to connect to skype with
empathy.

I own a Apple Magoc Mouse and run Ubuntu Maverick with all the latest
updates installed. I can pair the mouse via Bluetooth abd everything
works fine until i reboot my system. After GDM is loaded I can't
move the cursor anymore. When i log in, I have to reenter the Bluetooth-
Pin again, then everything is back to normal... Until the next reboot.

Hello Chase, you are right. After reverting back to the Lucid version of
xserver-xorg-input-evdev the mouse works much better. The jittery mouse
movement when you touch the surface is gone.

The easy part...

* Get a keyboard with media keys like Play, Pause, Fast Forward,...
* Play a movie inside totem. For example Elephant's Dream or Big Buck Bunny
* Fast forward to the middle of the movie

The hard (and not always reproducible) part

* Pause the video
* Press rewind on your media key for a short moment so you only rewind a little 
bit
* Press pause/play again

2. the behavior you expected

The video should start at that frame where i rewinded into.

 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as
possible).

I noticed quite often, that totem rewinds even further a couple of
keyframes although I - for sure! - pressed only play/pause. I was able
to reproduce this with my apple keyboard aswell as with a RF remote
control.

via the pause key on my keyboard) the video jumps a little bit back. I
often notice that when i rewinded the video a little bit, before i hit
pause. The problem can't be reproduced every time, but now and then it

I connect to the internet here at work via WLAN and a PPTP VPN. To do
this I use NetworkManager and the PPTP plugin. I can connect to the WLAN
and the VPN. The connection looks good, but I can't access the internet.
When I ping google I get...

settings. I can add the route and close the dialog with OK, but the next

course - i have to add the route by hand every time i connect to my vpn.

I connect to the internet here at work via WLAN and a PPTP VPN. To do
this I use NetworkManager and the PPTP plugin. I can connect to the WLAN
and the VPN. The connection looks good, but I can't access the internet.
When I ping google I get...

$ ping www.google.de
connect: Network is unreachable

The route looks like this...

After some research on the internet I found out that I missing a zero-
route. So after

$ sudo route add -net 0.0.0.0 netmask 0.0.0.0 dev ppp0

The problem is similar to Bug #565284. But in this issue it's not about
the workaround, it's about the main cause. Why is this zero-route
missing in the first place?

I installed tvtime and i can start the program. But when i try to scan
for channels, tvtime crashes...

@Tralalalala, then we're back in the world of Microsoft Windows, where
everything has to be done with a GUI and nobody knows the technique
behind the shell. Forums, Blogs, Wikis... all these types of media are
text based. It's much more easy, much faster, more precise and less
error-prone to use commands in text based media instead of Go here,
open window foo, look for checkbox bar, then click here and there...

But please, it looks like it's not possible - or better - it's not
wanted to change the way sudo behaves. That's fine with me. But please
PLEASE add one line to the initial message which explains the behaviour.
