[Bug 2063138] Re: upgrade from mantic to noble disables gr lanaguage

2024-04-23 Thread Claus7
Hello,

the answer is negative. I installed mantic using virtualbox. I added the
hellenic (greek) language as usual and issued the gsettings commands in
order to change language using Shift+Alt. I upgraded the system to
noble, since the issue was observed during an upgrade from mantic to
noble. I didn't observe the language problem.

[Bug 424240] Re: amsn freezes when setting up microphone

2010-01-29 Thread Claus7
I confirm on karmic stable release having the same problem as well. Also
when I want to send a voice clip while on chatting window, I get a
partial freeze, which lasts for some seconds. No sound is transmitted.

While the system freezes the demand of cpu is always higher. This
happens both using the amsn-daily version or the svn one for amsn 0.99b.

The Ctrl+S combination in the main window of amsn does not show any
error while the sound clip button is pressed or the configuration is
under way.

[Bug 457705] [NEW] package nvidia-glx-96-dev 96.43.13-0ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 2

2009-10-21 Thread Claus7
Public bug reported:

This package was unable to upgrade. I have to add that I have the restricted
nvidia driver installed though.
I do not know if this causes any conflicts, yet up to now it hasn't caused any.

[Bug 442193] Re: package gcc-4.4-base 4.4.1-4ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: error writing to 'standard output': No such file or directory

2009-10-04 Thread Claus7
What I did to avoid this, was to go to synaptic and from the down left
corner I chose the option Status and then broken packages. I updated
them and and I anew started the updated process from the icon in the
toolbar.

The next step was to have a new bug for python this time. I closed the
update process and I opened once again synaptic and updated my whole
system from there. The update went ok and smooth. The icon in the
toolbar did not disappear, yet after all this, when I clicked on it, it
said that there were no more updates for my system. So, I think that
that way someone can bypass this issue.

In synaptic I have installed both gcc-4.4-base and gcc-4.3-base.

I have karmic since alpha 5 or 6 and I do all the updates in the
meantime.

[Bug 419978] Re: pulseaudio crashed with SIGSEGV in pa_memblock_rele...@plt()

2009-09-08 Thread Claus7
Dear ubuntu bug squad,

what I would like to add to this bug is that I face it during boot, and
not while opening vlc or songbird. The message I got is exactly the same
(as the title of the bug).

Regards!
