[Bug 1953343] [NEW] SSL Session cache performance regression between 11.0.4 and 11.0.12
Public bug reported: The openjdk version 11.0.11 shipped in Focal (20.04) to Hirsute (21.04) suffers from a regression in SSL session cache, causing a rather large performance drop on very busy applications. This bug is reported upstream as https://bugs.java.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=JDK-8259886 and has been fixed in 11.0.12. The regression is apparently introduced by https://bugs.java.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=8210985 in 11.0.5. Would it be possible to push 11.0.12 to the Focal (and Hirsute) repositories ? [Bug 1714518] Re: GTK+3 doesn't show FUSE network shares in file chooser
Hello, Here is a (different) patch to fix the problem on Artful's GTK 3.22. The difference with the previous patch for GTK 3.18 is that there is now an "Other Locations" entry in the sidebar, which displays mounts via GtkPlacesView. This puts them in the correct place. ** Patch added: "Patch against GTK+3.22 for Artful" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+3.0/+bug/1714518/+attachment/4946007/+files/gtk-3.22-add-fuse-mounts-in-placesview.debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1714518 Title: GTK+3 doesn't show FUSE network shares in file chooser To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/1714518/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1714518] Re: GTK+3 doesn't show FUSE network shares in file chooser
I would also add that even though asking for GTK3 applications like Chromium, Firefox, Thunderbird to call gtk_file_chooser_set_local_only(FALSE) seems like an easy fix, it is not: when such applications then call for gtk_file_chooser_get_filename() (and _get_filenames), they could end up with NULL for remote files that are not fuse-mounted. Similarly, gtk_file_chooser_get_uri() (and _get_uris) behaves differently when local-only is set or not. With local-only set, _get_uri() returns a native file:/// path, without it returns a normal uri (smb:// ...) My understanding of the "show FUSE mounts in local-only mode" is that it helps numerous applications easily handle I/O with remote volumes without having to use GIO everywhere. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1714518 Title: GTK+3 doesn't show FUSE network shares in file chooser To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/1714518/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1714518] Re: GTK+3 doesn't show FUSE network shares in file chooser
Hi, No - I think the default is to show everything accessible via POSIX paths. [Bug 241587] Re: bugfix batch for Hardy's Claws Mail
Here's a more in-depth explanation of the fixed bugs: - bug 1553: Select an email, choose Message/Mark/Lock - it should prevent deleting of this mail. Now select three emails including the locked one and choose Message/Move to trash. The locked email is deleted although it shouldn't. - bug 1589: Leaves a file describing tags applied to messages when removing a folder. If recreating a folder with the same name, messages in it can get phantom tags applied to them. - bug 1599: If an email contains more than one attachment with the same name (photo.jpg for example), dragging them one by one to the attachments part of a Compose window will make the sent mail contain N times the same file instead of N different files with the same name. - bug 1602: If the user accepts to send a return receipt for a mail with an empty subject, Claws crashes - bug 1610: Opening the Themes page of Preferences can cause a crash when closing the preferences window due to a dangling pointer. - bug 1615: if using as signature file a FIFO like signify --kill --fifo=$HOME/.signature and signify isn't started, Claws will hang undefinitely waiting for an available read on the FIFO - bug 1635: if switching from one account to another, and both have an automatic signature set, the very last character before the signature delimiter (-- ) gets eaten. - bug 1636: IMAP NoSelect folders, which can only contain folders, have the Properties item of their contextual menu greyed out, preventing to change a property and apply it to subfolders. - Debian bug 481556: Lack of verification of a gpgme function return code can cause a crash when verifying a signature with Ambiguous name status. - fix SIGXFSZ: Claws Mail can crash getting a SIGXFSZ signal after a long uptime when the network protocol log file reaches the filesystem's maximum. - IMAP fixes: There were bugs related to error handling in IMAP code, that caused double-frees when a session got disconnected (by peer or network problems). -- bugfix batch for Hardy's Claws Mail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/241587 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

You actually plan on disabling this feature by default in all Claws Mail builds? That will very probably be greeted by a few bug reports about how the feature doesn't work anymore, by people who actually use it. I don't recommend applying this patch. Closing this bug as invalid and pointing the submitter to Preferences/Other/Enable customizable keyboard shortcuts seems more sane. The Steps to reproduce described above don't even work, in when gtk-can-change-accel is set to off. Tested with Firefox, tapping on Edit and hitting Ctrl-Z does not undo. The correct sequence is: 1.
