[Bug 1179780] [NEW] Please enable RTTI in build

2013-05-13 Thread Conrad Steenberg
Public bug reported:

Re llvm-3.2_3.2-2ubuntu5

In the latest llvm-3.2-5 release in Debian, RTTI is enabled. Please pull
this change into the Ubuntu package as well.

This is a regression from 3.1, and breaks compilation of the Crack
language and POCL (see http://goo.gl/HBDcl )

Thanks :-)

[Bug 991493] Re: Missing llvm-config alternatives.

2013-05-09 Thread Conrad Steenberg
FWIW, this just bit me when compiling the Crack language, which was
looking for llvm-config, not llvm-config-3.2.

I agree with mornfall above that if only 3.2 is installed, the
alternatives system should be used to update llvm-config.

[Bug 1085107] Re: evolution hangs

2013-01-18 Thread Conrad Steenberg
Another data point:
In Preferences - Mail Preferences - HTML Messages, checking the ''Never load
images from the Internet options solves the problem for me. The Unknown
background operation status notifications go away when I do this.

This leads me to believe that the bug is related to webkit html mail
display fetching images gone awry.

This still happens with the update to Quantal's evolution of today (Jan
18).

[Bug 501426] Re: When printing a calendar, the font size is too small

2011-04-03 Thread Conrad Steenberg
A fix for this problem is attached.

Since the original calendar code is a spaghetti maze of magic numbers
and manual inconsistent tweaks, this patch just changes the tweaks a
little to achieve a larger font size.

I've built packages for Natty and will try to create a PPA for it.

[Bug 731786] Re: Upon first login, launcher gets in the way of maximized windows

2011-03-19 Thread Conrad Steenberg
I see something similar:

My launcher is set to never hide, and when I maximize windows, it does
the right thing by acting like a 'panel'. I.e. the maximized window
does not overlap the launcher.

When I change to a different workspace and then change back, the
launcher now overlaps the maximized window, which has grown to the left
under the launcher.

[Bug 731786] Re: Upon first login, launcher gets in the way of maximized windows

2011-03-19 Thread Conrad Steenberg
To reproduce this I do:
1. Log in to a new session
2. Start app1 (KeepassX for me) on Workspace 1, Maximize
3. Change to WS2
4. Start app2(chrome-stable), Maximize
5. Change back to WS1, Unmaximize app1
6. Change to WS2, Unmaximize app2
7. Change back to WS1, Maximize app1
8. Change to WS2, Maximize app2
The launcher will now overlap app2 as in my screenshot above

Thanks for all the hard work on Unity, it looks great!

There is a patch in the GNOME bug (2 in fact) and they fix the problem
in a pretty trivial way. Can someone PLEASE apply the patch and build a
package, maybe for a PPA?

[Bug 40872] Re: Desktop icons are allowed to overlap

2010-06-15 Thread Conrad Steenberg
Hi all,

I just stumbled on this bug report after switching to Lucid from Fedora
where I had my own patch for this issue (
http://clarens.caltech.edu/wiki/2009/06/01/19.27 ).

Does some kind soul have a Lucid PPA with Bill's latest patch that I can
test?

Thanks!

The upstream bug hasn't been addressed since June 18, 2009, apart from
marking duplicate bugs.

I'd be happy to offer or contribute to a bounty to get this fixed.
