 ...To run this command, please open a so called terminal, by either
 pressing Strg+Alt+T or finding it in the menu via Applications menu -
 Accessories - Terminal
 In this terminal enter the following
  apport-collect 1016285
 A window should open, leading you through the further process.


I followed your instructions for opening the terminal to find the package,
and this is the screenshot as it stands now: *(see first attachmen*t).  I
have also attached a screenshot showing what comes up when I try to run
update-manager. (*see second attachment)*

  10.10, but haven't gotten anywhere.  Do I need to upgrade or should I
  stick with 10.4?
