[Bug 1632739] [NEW] xgene merlin crashes when running as iperf server
Public bug reported: [Impact] The X-Gene Merlin board will hang and then crash. [Test Case] Have both the 1G and 10G interfaces connected, configured, and up. Bring down the 1G interface via 'ifconfig eth0 down'. Start the iperf server, i.e. iperf -s. From a separate system on the same 10G network, run the client, i.e. iperf -c <10G ip address for merlin board under test>. [Regression Risk] The patches are well tested, upstream and in yakkety, and only impacts the xgene enet driver. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete ** Attachment added: "backtrace" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1632739/+attachment/4759932/+files/ami_merlin_kernel_crash.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1632739 Title: xgene merlin crashes when running as iperf server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1632739/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1625232] [NEW] [xenial] xgene i2c slimpro driver fails to load
Public bug reported: [Impact] The X-Gene I2C slimpro driver fails to load, which is needed for ipmitool to communicate with the bmc, locally. [Test Case] Ensure the slimpro driver loads and that ipmitool can communicate with the bmc. [Regression Risk] The slimpro driver is a standalone, xgene driver, so any issues with it will only affect that platform. The patches were specified by APM as needed for local bmc access to work. Outside of the driver causing a crash, a regression in the driver itself would leave us in the same state we currently are, the driver not loading or no access to the bmc locally. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Craig Magina (craig.magina) Status: In Progress ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Craig Magina (craig.magina) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1625232 Title: [xenial] xgene i2c slimpro driver fails to load To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1625232/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1514971] Re: [SRU trusty] arm64 USB support not enabled for APM Mustang
Yes, and things seemed to work fine. However the same patch set caused issues with wily on mcdivitt due to changes around the need for CONFIG_DMA_CMA to be enabled. So, during investigations there, additional patches were discovered as well as a bug fix for the dwc3 driver. The current patches in trusty proposed don't break anything, they just aren't enough to get USB working completely on the mustang. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1514971 Title: [SRU trusty] arm64 USB support not enabled for APM Mustang To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1514971/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1514971] Re: [SRU trusty] arm64 USB support not enabled for APM Mustang
The patches submitted for this bug turned out to not be the complete picture. I have not hit any issues with these patches, but there are additional patches that have been discovered recently as well as some bug fixes that will need to be upstreamed around the dwc3 driver to completely enable USB on the mustang platform. The current patch set will not be changed, just additional patches will be added to the set. ** Tags removed: verification-needed-trusty ** Tags added: verification-failed-trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1514971 Title: [SRU trusty] arm64 USB support not enabled for APM Mustang To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1514971/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1516682] [NEW] a trusty stable release patch breaks module loading on arm64
Public bug reported: This upstream patch "arm64: errata: add module build workaround for erratum #843419" breaks module loading on arm64 and was pulled into trusty-proposed via stable release. The trusty master-next commit is: f869de1cf9b57d28dbba9f15569f5ae2c54c8724. Wily saw this as well, since it also carries the patch and the workaround used there was to disable CONFIG_ARM64_ERRATUM_843419. The issue was mentioned to upstream here: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg449982.html and a fix was proposed here: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg450685.html ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete ** Tags: trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1516682 Title: a trusty stable release patch breaks module loading on arm64 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1516682/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The commit for this change, "arm64: errata: add module build workaround for erratum #843419" causes the kernel to fail on arm64.
