On menu Tools-Preferences in Audio tab, AudioDevice is set to Dummy. Changing the AudioDevice to another choice change nothing (Sdl, Alsa, Jack, Esd, PulseAudioS, Oss). After selecting for example PulseAudioS and restarting avidemux, AudioDevice is back to Dummy. Sound is working with avidemux2_gtk with AudioDevice PulseAudioS, and was working well avidemux2_qt4 in Maverick.
