[Bug 1227429] Re: Ubuntu 13.04 fails to install over existing version after partition wipe

2014-02-20 Thread Daniel Wit Preuss
The same problem exists in xubuntu 13-10.

How to replicate error:
1. Use unetbootin to unpack debian-7.4.0-amd64-xfce-CD-1.iso to usb stick
2. Unpack xubuntu-13.10-desktop-i386.iso with unebootin to the same usb stick
3. You will get an error trying to overwrite
'etc/console-setup/compose.ISO-8859-13.inc', which is also in package
console-setup 1.88 ()end of message(). during xubuntu install.

Working workaround:
format/erase usb stick before unpackig ubuntu iso

Skype and vlc using the same device are working properly

[Bug 217868] Re: rdesktop freezes shortly after successful connection

2008-04-16 Thread Daniel Wit Preuss
I have 2 computers:

1. Desktop running 7.10 with:
rdesktop 1.5.0-2
and Cisco VPN client

I can connect from home to my work network and use rdesktop without any
problems

2. Notebook running 8.04 with:
rdesktop 1.5.0-3+cvs200
and Cisco VPN client

I can connect from home to my work network and use VNC CLIENT (vncviewer)
without any problem
With rdesktop whole computer freezes and I have to turn it off.

On both computers I use:
rdesktop -f -k pl -a 8 -z -u user_name -d domain_name -p password 192.168.95.94

But:
this notebook and the same command started directly in my work network (without
Cisco VPN client) works without any problems! (I use many connections for many
hours a day)
