[Bug 1155879] Re: Freeze when connecting to MailEnable imapd with mutt
** Description changed: This issue is reproducible on Ubuntu 10.10, 11.10 and 12.10. When connecting to mailroot3.namespro.ca using IMAPS (SSL), the client will progress some way through opening a large mailbox, typically receiving between zero and a few thousand headers, before it hangs in recv(). The issue is reliably reproducible on a mailbox containing ~2600 messages. This issue only occurs when using TLSv1 to connect. Disabling TLSv1 in muttrc (presumably falling back to SSLv3) or using cleartext IMAP both avoid this issue. Wireshark shows that the most recent data exchange was from the server to the client. - Running nmap(1) suggests the remote mail server is MailEnable imapd. + The remote mail server is likely MailEnable 5.53. (Note, in the attached trace, a connection is being proxied through an SSH tunnel, so the outgoing connection will appear to go to localhost:9993. This issue occurs with a direct connection as well.) [Bug 275562] [NEW] Global shortcut keys of form Control[any single key] do not work.
Public bug reported: Intrepid: Global shortcuts which use Control as their only modifier key do not work, with some exceptions. Pressing any such combination twice in rapid succession usually works on the second press (but not the first). If the shortcut-registering application has focus, the combination always works. QT applications (Amarok, Katapult) and the GNOME Keyboard Shortcuts control panel are confirmed affected. This is confirmed to occur with both Compiz and Metacity. Searching using gconf-editor strongly suggests that conflicting shortcuts are not registered. This issue started recently (on or about the 26th of September), and may be related to a package update. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: combination control global key shortcut ** Description changed: Intrepid: Global shortcuts which use Control as their only modifier key do not work, with some exceptions. - Pressing any such combination twice in rapid succession usually on the - second press (but not the first). + Pressing any such combination twice in rapid succession usually works on + the second press (but not the first). [Bug 57789] Amarok skips some tracks without reason
Public bug reported: When advancing from the end of one track, amarok will start to play the next track, but then go on to play the track which follows. This is detectable because of crossfading, and it known (or just more frequently noticed) when using queued tracks. To aid in duplication, my usual usage pattern calls for the 'random' metaplaylist set to list 50 tracks. I repopulate the list, pick five or six tracks to queue, then repeat until my queue reaches a good size. I should add that the effect occurs only some of the time. I haven't found any rationale as to why some tracks are skipped (skipped tracks can be requeued and will play the second time they come up.) ** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: When advancing from the end of one track, amarok will start to play the next track, but then go on to play the track which follows. I repopulate the list, pick five or six tracks to queue, then repeat until my queue reaches a good size. + + I should add that the effect occurs only some of the time. I haven't + found any rationale as to why some tracks are skipped (skipped tracks + can be requeued and will play the second time they come up.) -- Amarok skips some tracks without reason https://launchpad.net/bugs/57789 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 56475] Amarok can't play audio after attempting to play a FLAC file
Public bug reported: When a flac audio file is next in the queue, the following events happen (in sequence:) 1. An error message is displayed to the effect of: Error Loading Media There is no audio channel! 2. Playback is stopped. 3. Attempting to play other, non-FLAC files results in the visualization working, but no audio output. Amarok must be restarted in order for audio output to work again. Steps to reproduce: 1. Queue three tracks, one non-FLAC, then one FLAC, then one non-FLAC. 2. Begin playback 3. Advance to near the end of the first track (or wait) 4. Observe effects 1, 2 as described above 5. Attempt to start playback of the third track by double-clicking 6. Observe effect 4 as desctibed above This bug effectively makes FLAC files in the library land mines which must be avoided to prevent the application from entering an effectively useless state (which is similar in mangitude to a crash, and a great deal more confusing.) Using amarok 2:1.4.1-0ubuntu1. ** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Amarok can't play audio after attempting to play a FLAC file https://launchpad.net/bugs/56475 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 51620] Unexpected behavior when another package manager is open
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-app-install If one clicks ok in gnome-app-install to install software, and another package manager is open, an error is given (which is the correct behavior), then the program is terminated and all selections are lost (which is not correct behavior.) Upon issuing an error, the program should roll back to the state it was in just before the user clicked ok, giving the user the chance to close synaptic without punishing the user by forcing them to reopen the program and reselect the packages to be installed. ** Affects: gnome-app-install (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Unexpected behavior when another package manager is open https://launchpad.net/bugs/51620 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
