[Bug 28906] Re: init script starts before NFS, NIS, DNS (need two stages)
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 28906 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue. ** Changed in: firehol (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/28906 Title: init script starts before NFS, NIS, DNS (need two stages) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firehol/+bug/28906/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 971561] Re: [MacBook5, 2, Realtek ALC889A, Green Headphone Out, Rear] No sound at all
Thanks for the quick reply! The first option (altering /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf) just removed all my sound. The second option is a slight improvement - now my laptop speakers work, and when I plug my earphones into the output the laptop speakers are muted, and alsamixer seems to be giving the right names to the right channels.
