Re: [Bug 1882462] Re: Displays wake up pre-maturely (likely driven by notification)
OK, so an update. I removed fwupd from my system and I can confirm that once I can get the displays to sleep, they stay that way as they should. Now for the weird part... they won't go to sleep on their own. Doesn't matter whether I'm in Wayland or Xorg - they won't go to sleep on their own. DPMS is shown enabled with xset q in Xorg, settings are default in terms of displays going to sleep, but they never do. If I do Super-L they will go to sleep and wake right back up. If I then unlock the machine and do Super-L again, they will go to sleep and stay that way. The only thing changed was me apt removing fwupd. This is a puzzle that refuses to be solved apparently. [Bug 1861462] Re: Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 7th Gen doesn't suspend and resume

[Bug 1716011] [NEW] Default session reverted to Xorg
Public bug reported: I have been using Wayland for some time. In a recent artful update, my session reverted to Xorg causing all sorts of HiDPI scaling issues (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1714295). Even though in the gdm3 options Ubuntu (default Wayland) was selected, it was using Xorg. In order to get back to using wayland for my session I had to select Xorg, then select Ubuntu default again. Once I did that and logged in, it was using wayland properly again. [Bug 1713323] Re: HiDPI support partially broken after upgrade to Gnome 3.25
It turns out my title bar issue was because my session had reverted to X for some reason rather than Wayland. I had to select X and then select Ubuntu again in order for it to choose and launch Wayland. After that my desktop is working as expected again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1713323 Title: HiDPI support partially broken after upgrade to Gnome 3.25 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1713323/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1714295] [NEW] DPI scaling broken
Public bug reported: After applying the latest artful updates today and rebooting, the login screen is correctly scaled but after I login DPI scaling doesn't apply correctly. Everything is super tiny. If I launch gnome tweak tool then the screen snaps and then applications are correctly scaled. Even then, the top bar remains tiny. If I adjust the scaling factor, everything but the top bar changes. FWIW, I have scaling factor set to 1 in gnome tweak tool. I'm wondering if I have a preference somewhere that's sabotaging this but I've yet to find it. [Bug 1708043] Re: Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen5 fails to resume
Sleep / resume still doesn't work with TB3 enabled on 4.13.0-rc4-icmtest. I have nothing plugged into the laptop whatsoever, including power. I boot it unplugged, let it finish booting, close the lid. It suspends. When I open the lid, the power LED blinks a few times, stays on, but the screen never comes back on. There are no weird settings in the BIOS relating to power. I have: Wake by Thunderbolt 3 - disabled Security Level - Display Port and USB Support in Pre Boot Environment for Thunderbolt - disabled bios version is 1.22 The only way suspend/resume works normally is if I go into the security settings of the bios, I/O Port Access, and disable Thunderbolt 3. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1708043 Title: Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen5 fails to resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1708043/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
