[Bug 1874442] Re: ERROR Transfer event TRB DMA ptr not part of current TD

2020-04-27 Thread DjMix
Just to add info, I am able to reset the controller with these two
commands:

# echo 1 > /sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1c.5/:04:00.0/remove
# echo 1 > /sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1c.5/rescan

I also tried with these kernels:

5.0.0-44.48~18.04.1
4.18.0-25.26~18.04.1
4.15.0-96.97

The same behaviour happens.

[Bug 1874442] [NEW] ERROR Transfer event TRB DMA ptr not part of current TD

2020-04-23 Thread DjMix
Public bug reported:

I'm developing a software that talks with a device based on Cypress FX3
USB3 controller. In my laptop all works well, I developed it for months
by now. In my desktop computer it crashes the xhci module:

and so on (one per libusb transfer, it seems).

Sometimes it even gives a core dump:

[Bug 1595405] [NEW] Akonadi depends on mysql but may be used with other backends

2016-06-23 Thread DjMix
Public bug reported:

Package akonadi-server lists akonadi-backend-mysql as a dependency, but
suggests akonadi-backend-postgresql and akonadi-backend-sqlite as
alternative backends. Shouldn't they be all dependencies in OR? Actually
you can't remove the mysql backend even if postgres or sqlite are
installed.

[Bug 1590567] [NEW] Broken symlink and dependency to libjs-raphael

2016-06-08 Thread DjMix
Public bug reported:

There is a symlink /usr/share/redmine/public/javascripts/raphael.js that point
to ../../../javascript/raphael/raphael.min.js from package libjs-raphael, but
this symlink points to a wrong file name, because it's
../../../javascript/raphael/raphael-min.js
Also, this library is not a dependency of redmine

Description:Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Release:16.04

3) I expected the dependency to be installed automatically, and the
symlink to point to the right file

4) The library was installed manually and the symlink was corrected

[Bug 1551022] Re: mouse pointer leaves trail

2016-03-05 Thread DjMix
I've tried, but the proprietary nvidia driver can't enable the second
GPU if the first (the integrated Intel) is already working, so I'm left
with only one monitor and this glitch disappear (as it disappers if I
disable the intel GPU and use only the nvidia one with the nouveou
driver).

This glitch only happen if they are both enabled, in a dual gpu configuration.
Xorg is autodetecting all the configuration automatically.

** Description changed:

In my desktop system Kubuntu 15.10 I have the integrated graphic card
(Intel HD3000) and a discrete graphic card (Nvidia GTX 550). Some days
ago I attached a monitor on the iGPU and enabled it, giving me a triple
head system (two monitors on the Nvidia and one on the Intel). From that
moment, the mouse pointer started to leave a trail when it pass over
something that is animating. I'm using nouveau for the nvidia card. I
tried to upgrade to Kubuntu 16.04, but it gives me the same glitch. It's
not possible to take a screenshot because it will repaint the desktop
prior to take it, so the glitch doesn't appear: I had to take a photo.

[Bug 1132675] Re: Radeon HD 6450 and dual monitor: second monitor not initialized correctly

2013-07-27 Thread DjMix
I connected the second monitor using the spare digital output and the
problem never ever reappeared, so I really think that the bug affected
the vga output. I don't have access to that computer anymore so I can't
test it further, sorry

I can confirm that using the HDMI and DVI port of the video card, the
bug doesn't happen. Only if the VGA port is used.

Joseph, I tried the last upstream kernel but the bug is still there. It
may be worth noting that the uncorrectly initialized screen is always
the one attached to VGA.

Also, I can't figure where to put the tag kernel-bug-exists-upstream,

[Bug 306613] Re: Ubuntu 8.10 with HPT366 hangs while booting

2009-06-22 Thread DjMix
Which version of hpt366 bios do you have? There are difference from
1.28b and 1.25, I've read in some site devoted to the BE6 that 1.25 is
the best.

[Bug 227983] Re: Logitech QuickCam Web don't work (and freeze the computer)

2009-01-29 Thread DjMix
I'm testing it in intrepid. Now, with usb1 port, only camorama freeze
and not the whole system. The driver version is the same as in 2.6.24,
so I think that the issue is still there.

[Bug 227983] Re: Logitech QuickCam Web don't work (and freeze the computer)

2008-05-08 Thread DjMix
I had compiled linux-tv modules trying to make a dvb-t receiver works..
with no luck by the way.

Ok, I cleaned the things up. Now what I got is attached in this new
dmesg. Kernel oops. But on another machine it works smootly. I don't
have logs of the machine where I noticed the bad behaviour.. I'll make
that tomorrow.

[Bug 227983] Re: Logitech QuickCam Web don't work (and freeze the computer)

2008-05-08 Thread DjMix
I think I got something. If this webcam is connected on a usb1 port (directly
to the mainboard or throught a usb1 hub) kernel oops immediatly when I try to
use it.
If it is connected on a usb2 port, it works.

This is weird. I have another webcam (stv680, see my other bug reports)
that have the opposite problem. I'm cursed ^_^

BTW, cheese don't reconize this webcam, I've tested it using camorama.
And the other pc where I've tested it some minutes ago have usb1 ports,
but work flawlessly... (It have a totally different chipset, if someone
want I'll post dmesg ecc)

The computer where this thing started have usb1 and usb2 ports, and this
webcam usually was connected on the usb2 one's, only yesterday I
switched to usb1 and the problem arised. I'll test this tomorrow.

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.24-16-generic

When the module is loaded (tipically on boot) it hangs and stop the
computer from continuing to load. This happen even on the install cd, so
this can be a show-stopper.

If there are no drives attached to che controller, the module load
correctly.
