[Bug 120258] Re: Laptop Battery Time Remaining Outrageously Inaccurate

2013-01-29 Thread Dmitry Diskin
Does this post show some hint for this bug:
http://forum.eeeuser.com/index.php?/topic/81732-battery-measurements-
are-wrong-eeepc-900-ubuntu-1004/page__view__findpost__p__710079 ?

Quote:
This is a problem with the way the battery reports its charging state. The
ubuntu applet (and the rest of the system, down to the kernel) expects the
charge to be reported in mAh but instead the battery itself reports a
percentage. If you look at state and info in /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/, you'll
find that a fully charged battery reports a charge of 100 mAh ... with a
(reported) design capacity of 5200 mAh this works out to 1.9 %.

[Bug 815722] [NEW] Xorg won't start if no space left in /

2011-07-25 Thread Dmitry Diskin
Public bug reported:

I do not have clear description of the problem.. Friend called and asked
for help, X did not start and prompted for 'one time low resolution
session', but it also failed, and looped. It turned out that there was a
single partition, and it become 100% full. The question is: should
Ubuntu be smarter in that case? When booting from Live CD, it is able
to work without any disk device at all. Should it detect the inability
to write some files, and show warning, instead of crashing?

[Bug 268502] Re: Bluetooth doesn't work (hci_cmd_task: hci0 command tx timeout)

2010-01-12 Thread Dmitry Diskin
BT (KY-BT100 dongle) worked right after fresh install of Karmic, then I
installed blueman from Karmic repositories, and seems that it caused the
above problems. Tried to remove blueman completely - did not help.
Booting from standard Karmic live CD - BT worked. The problem was solved
after installing blueman from PPA, which removed gnome-bluetooth. It
worked even before I updated bluez from the same PPA.

When I installed blueman originally from Karmic repositories, it did not
remove gnome-bluetooth, and I had two bluetooth icons for some time
(both disabled).
