[Bug 1976136] [NEW] lutris doesn't launch World of Warships

2022-05-27 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Public bug reported:

After installing with the provided installer, the game installs and
launches with a black screen and a debug dialog prompt, then wineserver
takes 100% CPU usage and nothing happens for minutes until I killed the
process. It used to work in Ubuntu 21.10, but since the game is updated
constantly it may not be a regression.

Using Ubuntu 22.04 Wayland Nvidia 510

[Bug 1975647] [NEW] gnome shell extensions crashes on launch

2022-05-24 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Public bug reported:

When launching the Extensions app, the icon briefly appears in the dock
and immediately disappears. No log can be found. Launching
"/usr/bin/gnome-extensions-app --gapplication-service" in a terminal
just hangs the process, with `strace` saying that it gets stuck in
`wait4(-1,`. It may have something to do with dual booting Debian
testing and sharing root possibly messing up some config files, but
Extensions shouldn't just crash and should at least provide some errors
or log output for troubleshooting.

dpkg says that the desktop file is in package "gnome-shell-extension-
prefs", but launchpad says that it doesn't exist in Ubuntu.

[Bug 1972718] [NEW] ubuntu-bug should provide option to copy link instead of always opening

2022-05-09 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Public bug reported:

Currently it always opens another tab directly via the web browser,
which opens in the wrong Firefox container for me. It then always
redirects and asks for me to sign in without the option of moving the
tab inside the correct container. If I simply open it again in the
correct tab, it tells me that no sign in is necessary and doesn't let me
complete the original bug report.

[Bug 1972123] Re: Online accounts crashes on sign in

2022-05-09 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Thanks for the catch. I wasn't aware of the risks involved with crash
files and the fact that ubuntu-bug will make the report private. Maybe
a warning should be emitted by launchpad on upload of this file type?
ubuntu-bug is quite annoying and always opens a new tab which is in the
wrong Firefox container. I filed bug 1972718 for that.

Step 1 didn't work, couldn't find the crash report by step 2, and step 3
worked without a reboot or reproducing. The new bug is bug 1972717.

[Bug 1972127] [NEW] gnome-todo change date function is cumbersome

2022-05-08 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Public bug reported:

When I change the due date to a date in another month in the "Today"
view, the item immediately disappears right as I click the right arrow
on the month. I have to go to scheduled, scroll all the way down, find
the task in hundreds of other tasks, then change the date to the actual
day. I sometimes forget to do that and miss my actual task due date.
It should only update the month in the date selection UI, and not
actually update until a day is selected.

[Bug 1972125] [NEW] Remmina caches fingerprints wrongly when using two profiles with SSH tunneling

2022-05-08 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Public bug reported:

When using two profiles and alternating between connecting to them, it
always prompts that the certificate has changed and the old fingerprint
is the fingerprint for the other profile. I suspect that this is
because I use SSH tunneling for both and Remmina is caching the
fingerprints under the SSH tunnel for localhost.

(Also, the "tunneling via loopback address" feature is undocumented.
Should I open another bug for that?)

[Bug 1970810] [NEW] Black screen/delayed response when waking after lock screen

2022-04-28 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Public bug reported:

After locking the screen and waiting for the displays to go dark, moving
the mouse pointer wakes both screens, but only the external monitor
shows the blurred desktop background. Moving the pointer to the
internal display results in the cursor showing on a dark background
until a key is pressed or some time passes. Without the external
display attached, sometimes it would wake normally, but sometimes the
screen simply stays dark, and all mouse movements or key presses elicit
no response. Only switching to TTY and back would allow the screen to
revert back to the cursor on black screen until key press situation.
Then, after logging in, plugging in the external monitor doesn't wake
the monitor. The laptop recognizes it and moves it as the primary
display, but the monitor doesn't get the HDMI signal. Relocking and
unlocking brings it back.

[Bug 1970285] [NEW] Pomodoro screen overlay can't be dismissed

2022-04-25 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Public bug reported:

When starting a short break within the Pomodoro app or the shell icon,
the pop up that says 5:00 remaining can't be dismissed by moving the
mouse, typing keys, escape key, or any other way that I have tried. It
prevents me from using the system at all (although things like hot
corner, Super + Q, and the Super key still works) because all keyboards
and mouse goes into the overlay. I had to open a TTY and `loginctl
kill-user `, re-log in, and then the count simply restart from 5:00.
Waiting until it runs out make it stuck at 0:01, and I still can't use
the system. Killing the session again works, and I was able to stop the
pomodoro. During this time gdm3 got stuck at log in (circle no longer
spins and freezes) and I had to `systemctl restart gdm3`. This happens
on Wayland on hybrid Intel + Nvidia graphics. Not tested on X.org.
Used to work on Wayland 21.10 IIRC (although a bit glitchy), so not sure
what went wrong.

[Bug 1968663] [NEW] Screen freeze when unsuspending and entering password

2022-04-11 Thread DuckDuckWhale
Public bug reported:

Sometimes after unsuspending and entering the login screen password, the
right spinning icon stops and the whole system hangs. I am able to SSH
into the machine and look at the logs, but everything seems pretty
normal and I can't find relevant errors. Do note that my internal
webcam connection is kinda wonky but I don't know if that's related.
Pressing Alt+F# to switch to a TTY doesn't work. I have to force power
down every time by holding the power button. This happens once in a
while. I'm using Wayland and Gnome.
