[Bug 375862] [NEW] Nokia E51 not recognized as a music player
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hal-info It seems that the new way of recognizing Nokia S60 phones by their storage.model doesn't work with all the S60 phones after all. I have a Nokia E51 which reports its storage.model as "E51", not "S60" as expected by http://cgit.freedesktop.org/hal- info/commit/?id=d19b5591cb49342e0fda1e7790231c2d0c48fa5c. I'm running jaunty with stock hal-info (20090407-0ubuntu1). (I guess the real problem is that this model isn't really a music player, but can be used as such. It could just as well be used as a (rather crappy) camera. It does have two USB connection modes, but PC Suite is for using it as a modem, I guess all other uses classify as "mass storage". I have access to a real music phone (N81), I'll see how it reports itself.) ** Affects: hal-info (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Nokia E51 not recognized as a music player https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375862 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Ok, here's a patch which updates 0.5.44 version with the 1.47 -> 1.48 patch to include the changes that were made between versions 1.51 and 1.52. Btw, even if these patches aren't incorporated to the Ubuntu packages, you can patch your own tv_grab_fi. [Bug 48253] Re: tv_grab_fi broken, needs update to 0.5.45
Whoops, that was meant to be http://xmltv.cvs.sourceforge.net/xmltv/xmltv/grab/fi/tv_grab_fi?view=log#rev1.52 -- tv_grab_fi broken, needs update to 0.5.45 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48253 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 48253] Re: tv_grab_fi broken, needs update to 0.5.45
It seems that the format on telkku.com has changed once again (see http://xmltv.cvs.sourceforge.net/xmltv/xmltv/grab/fi/tv_grab_fi?view=log#rev1.52).I'll post a patch as soon as I have the time to make one. -- tv_grab_fi broken, needs update to 0.5.45 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48253 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 48253] No need to update the whole package
This one doesn't really need 0.5.45. It would be enough to incorporate the changes from upstream revision 1.47 to 1.48. It is a four (or five) line change, so it shouldn't be impossible. Right now xmltv is effectively broken for all Finnish users. ** Attachment added: "A patch of tv_grab_fi from 1.47 to 1.48." http://librarian.launchpad.net/7870696/tv_grab_fi.patch -- tv_grab_fi broken, needs update to 0.5.45 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48253 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
