@Alberto - Low?

When we've marked the upstream one Medium?

If you're not sure how Xubuntu wants bugs marked - could you either ask
or leave them alone. Thanks

Not sure it matters how it's starting - that's not the problem ;)

As it is either from autostarting or manually - the hang on shutdown
remains the same

[Bug 1445622] Re: [Xubuntu vivid daily] Trash directory unable to be found

2015-04-18 Thread Elfy
Thunar is not installed in Lubuntu.

In Ubuntu I get 'file cannot be moved to trash delete file' warning

Lubuntu is a bit more specific (see screenshot)

Definitely not Thunar - that's just what is showing the issue up for
Xubuntu.

[Bug 1445592] Re: vivid fails to shutdown or reboot at end of installation when reboot now button is pressed

2015-04-18 Thread Elfy
ok - so what I have seen is.

Livesession - reboot works in kvm/hardware.

Reboot does not work from INSTALL in any of the arch's or type of
install that I tried - vbox/kvm/hardware.

Tested in Ubuntu 64bit and Xubuntu 32/64 bit.

gvfs-trash file fails in Xubuntu and Ubuntu, Lubuntu apparently doesn't

sudo gvfs-trash works in all (once installed in Lubuntu)

re * cyphermox claims this does NOT happen in the live session

My findings for the livesession fails to shutdown properly issue were
that in VirtualBox (repo version not Oracle) it fails.

Using qemu/virt-manager or hardware and it did shutdown properly after
hitting Enter.

Finding the same today with the rebuilt 20150417.1 image.

[Bug 1335492]

2015-03-15 Thread Elfy
(In reply to yanpaso from comment #37)
(In reply to Eric Koegel from comment #36)
Yes it has. Well upgrading means your icons should stay where you like them.

I have just upgraded to 4.12 and the patch seems to be incorrect. After 3
relogins my icons are mixed again. Also button (don't know how to translate
correctly) reorganise icons places them behind the desktop (in the left
side). Pressing F5 gets them back

Thanks for this. Seeing the same here with that.

This just popped up in mailbox - I'm now NOT seeing this issue

I've also got new hardware here now. (not sure if that's of any
importance but thought I'd mention anyway)

[Bug 1422859] [NEW] Dices move after using settings

2015-02-17 Thread Elfy
Public bug reported:

Running openyahtzee works fine.

Have it set so that dice are horizontal, go to settings, once settings

I see the same thing here in 15.04.

The Cntl+Fn keys are set to workspaces.

As a workround go to Workspace Settings and remove the combination(s)
from there before setting others.

[Bug 1319029]

2014-12-13 Thread Elfy
(In reply to Julien [nodiscc] from comment #8)
Hello everyone, I'm unable to reproduce this on Debian testing/unstable x86.
It would be nice if you could attach your version numbers for xfdesktop4 and
thunar (as it seems to be related)

 xfdesktop4: 4.10.2-3
 thunar: 1.6.3-2

@elfy @francesco_dem, can you still reproduce this bug?

Yep.

Running Xubuntu VV dev currently

xfdesktop4: Installed: 4.11.8-0ubuntu1

thunar: Installed: 1.6.3-2ubuntu1

I can still confirm this in an up to date 15.04

If previously you have used Abiword then you need to remove the
.config/abiword folder to reproduce.

[Bug 1397095] Re: dragging applications in the task bar causes repaint errors

Can confirm this in vbox for whiskermenu icon.

I can't confirm for places plugin.

Nor can I confirm on hardware - panel moved to the bottom. Many changes
from default panel here - no windows buttons. Adding windows buttons to
the panel and still unable to confirm there.

[Bug 1397095] Re: dragging applications in the task bar causes repaint errors

2014-11-27 Thread Elfy
** Description changed:

- I am using the xubuntu-staging PPA.
+ I am using the xubuntu-staging PPA on real hardware.

When dragging running applications in the task bar, black boxes appear in the
panel.
The black boxes appear where whiskermenu and the places plugin would normally
be drawn. When moving the mouse over the black boxes, they get redrawn
correctly.

This happens on real hardware and on VirtualBox.
+
+ Virtualbox running current daily.

2014-11-09 Thread Elfy
Public bug reported:

In a text file when using search and replace, search direction is set to
Down by default.

That assumes that you've started search at file beginning.

Especially in a longer text file you might well start somewhere other
than the start.

Changing default search to Both makes more sense when searching
somewhere other than the start or end - a more likely scenario.
