[Bug 1053424] [NEW] rabbitmq-server-2.7.1-0ubuntu4 discards log output
Public bug reported: If rabbitmq-server-2.7.1-0ubuntu4 fails to start for any reason then the instructions are displayed to check the startup logfiles: "Starting rabbitmq-server: FAILED - check /var/log/rabbitmq/startup_{log, _err}" However in rabbitmq-server-2.7.1-0ubuntu4 the startup error log does not contain diagnostic information. It always contains the fixed string "rabbitmq failed to start". This makes it nearly impossible to diagnose startup errors. ** Affects: rabbitmq-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1053424 Title: rabbitmq-server-2.7.1-0ubuntu4 discards log output To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rabbitmq-server/+bug/1053424/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1018001] Re: Please sync rabbitmq-server 2.8.4 from Debian
I see rabbitmq-server 2.8.4-1 is available in Qualtal A2, but rabbitmq- erlang-client and rabbitmq-stomp are still available as well and both fail to install. bug948993 comment15 and 16 made it look like they were being deleted. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1018001 Title: Please sync rabbitmq-server 2.8.4 from Debian To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rabbitmq-server/+bug/1018001/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1018001] Re: Please sync rabbitmq-server 2.8.4 from Debian
Hi Dave, the rabbitmq-server package ships with all plugins since version 2.7.0. I agree there is no reason to single these two out for special treatment. I assume these Ubuntu packages predate 2.7.0.
I see that the Qualtal release schedule marks today as Debian import freeze. Does that mean that rabbitmq-server v2.8.4 has missed the boat to be in Qualtal?
Ubuntu-specific patches have been incorporated upstream, so this request is a sync rather than a merge. Those include emitting upstart events for MAAS and the use of start-stop-daemon.
[Bug 1018001] [NEW] Please sync rabbitmq-server 2.8.4 from Debian
Public bug reported: RabbitMQ v2.8.4 contains bugfixes for high-availability queue. It would be good to make these improvements available for Ubuntu users. [Bug 1004373] Re: Please merge rabbitmq-server 2.8.2 from Debian
Actually, v2.8.3 is a bad choice. A bug has just been discovered that could cause the logfile to exhaust disk space. v2.8.4 would be a better choice. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1004373 Title: Please merge rabbitmq-server 2.8.2 from Debian To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rabbitmq-server/+bug/1004373/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1004373] Re: Please merge rabbitmq-server 2.8.2 from Debian
Could 2.8.3 be synced from Debian instead of 2.8.2? [Bug 777325] Re: Marvell 88SE9120 IDE-Part not working
Paweł Drewniak contributed a pata_marvell patch to the kernel list for this issue. I've been using it for about a week and it works ok for me. I don't see a noticeable performance penalty to the SATA disks with the patch in place. https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/5/18/193 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/777325 Title: Marvell 88SE9120 IDE-Part not working -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
