[Bug 1042388] Re: qemu: Unsupported syscall: 257 (timer_create)
Unfortunately it doesn't work with armhf on amd64 linux-user. Use the test program from comment #27 I get: > schroot -c armhf -- ./timer_test_armhf About to call host's timer_create (0, 0x7fff6ee80720, 0x625b1f40) Host's timer_create returns -22 Failed to create timer: Invalid argument qemu: uncaught target signal 6 (Aborted) - core dumped E: Child terminated by signal ‘Aborted’ (Yes I made very certain the schroot was using my freshly compiled version of qemu-arm-static). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1042388 Title: qemu: Unsupported syscall: 257 (timer_create) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1042388/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1042388] Re: qemu: Unsupported syscall: 257 (timer_create)
I've been looking at it over the last week or so and I have submitted a patch toe the qemu-devel mailing list to fix another timer_create() problem sometime in the last week. Unfortunately the test case @pittit submitted is far harder to support than the original test case. In this case the timer_create() syscall gets passed pointers to functions and data in the target's address space and I have not figured out how to handle that yet.
The fix that was commited to the Qemu git tree fixed the original test case I had. @pittit then found another test case that fails and I intend to fix that when I find a good chunk of free time. Problem is I only work on Wemu sporadically and it takes me quite a bit of time to get up to speed when I return to work on it.

You didn't state it, but I assume that you're on a amd64 system and have installed the 32 bit version of the library. If that is the case, then the file /usr/include/sndfile.h is for the amd64 system. However, sndfile.h is an autogenerated file which defines sf_count_t to be of type off_t on 64 bit Linux and loff_t (if its available) on 32 bit Linux. [Bug 455991] Re: policyd-spf crashing with IndexError
The problem is This code: sender_domain = string.split(sender, '@', 1) if spf.domainmatch(reject_domain_list, sender_domain[1]): If sender has no '@' character, sender_domain ends up as a single element list and trying to index it by [1] results in an IndexError exception. A robust solution to this (available for python >= 2.5) is: sender_domain = sender.partition ('@')[2] if spf.domainmatch(reject_domain_list, sender_domain): The parition method applied to the sender string is guaranteed to return a 3 element tuple of which the [2] indexing grabs the last element. [Bug 456112] [NEW] xserver locks up after coming out of hibernate (1 time in 3 or 4)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel I suspend my laptop using "sudo s2disk" in an xterm. Since the last xserver-xorg-video-intel and kernel update a couple of days ago i've had three xserver hangs when coming out of hibernate. Everything looks like its ok in the text console, it switches to X and then about 3 seconds latter swaps back to the text console. Once in this state the keyboard doesn't respond. Only way out is to pull the power and remove the laptop battery. ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Oct 20 19:11:53 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 MachineType: Dell Inc. [Bug 454999] Re: video corruption after coming out of s2disk
slangasek on #ubunt-devel suggested I also try using pm-hibernate. I did the following: 1) restarted X to get rid of existing screen corruption. 2) logged in and made sure there was no corruption. 3) In an xterm ran "sudo pm-hibernate" 4) let the machine shutdown. 5) powered up again. On power up there was similar (but not identical) screen corruption as in the screen shot I attached : http://launchpadlibrarian.net/33916101/screen-corruption.png The same problem occurs if I do "sudo s2disk" instead of "sudo pm- hibernate". -- [915GM] video corruption after coming out of hibernate https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/454999 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
