[Bug 588859] [NEW] python-mysqldb silently drops exceptions on deadlocks
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: python-mysqldb There is a missing check in _mysql.c _mysql_ResultObject_Initialize, where a failed SELECT that ends in a deadlock, returns a NULL from mysql_store result, but according to http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/null-mysql-store-result.html, you have to check errno or num_fields afterwards. Not doing this, causes exceptions to be silently dropped. Here's a similar bugreport http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=2776267group_id=22307atid=374932 Attached is a patch that fixes the problem in _mysql.c. It was made against 1.2.3, but applies to 1.2.2 with some fuzz. Patch has also been submitted to python-mysqldb at sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=3008217group_id=22307atid=374934) and for debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=584260) ** Affects: python-mysqldb (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- python-mysqldb silently drops exceptions on deadlocks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588859 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 477226] Re: Sound simultaneously on headphones and speakers - Lenovo IdeaPad u350
Hello Luke, Thanks for your efforts. Have tried installing your patch as well as kernel .19. Also removed the lines regarding snd-hda-intel (model and powersave). Now, there is no sound, neither from speakers or headphones. Also internal mic and external mic does not show any sign of activity in the volume manager. Am attaching the dmesg.txt. Thanks again, Eskil Jakobsson ** Attachment added: dmesg.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38997908/dmesg.txt -- Sound simultaneously on headphones and speakers - Lenovo IdeaPad u350 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/477226 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 153980] Re: 7.04-7.10 Upgrade fails: Getting upgrade prerequisites failed
I was able to use the steps in comment https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update- manager/+bug/153980/comments/81, but I had to NOT do the edit in step 5. It seems like most of the trouble with upgrading an old 7.04 is because of the files being on old-releases.ubuntu.com instead of archive.ubuntu.com now. -- 7.04-7.10 Upgrade fails: Getting upgrade prerequisites failed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153980 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 86685] Re: neo_cgi.so: undefined symbol: Py_InitModule4
I can confirm the above mentioned debian package also works for Hardy on x86_64. Upgraded from 7.04 to 8.04, and suddenly my trac no longer worked. Downloading the source package, applying the debian pacthes, build install solved it. -- neo_cgi.so: undefined symbol: Py_InitModule4 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/86685 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
