[Bug 198497] Re: cannot rename video file
With the current solution, it fails right after installation, since a new gconf key has been added to the code, but not declared in the schema. Once the preview option in the menu is ticked, it works properly, even if you set the preview off again. Re: [Bug 194505] Re: Clock applet doesn't load when Google Calendar is used in Evolution
I think solving the problem instead of hiding it is always better. Upstream is working on this, let them do it. Also, if a user has been able to configure a google calendar in evolution, he probably knows what he's doing. [Bug 189013] Re: JeOS (hardy alpha 4) installation fails @ "Select and install software" stage
As dankegel suggested in bug #183910, the problem lies with pkgsel. [Bug 113569] Re: update-pciids weird behavior
Sorry, I got some points wrong. There's no debian patch. The construction process (Makefile) modifies the update-pciids script, setting it to store a .gz file if zlib is available (as detected by lib/configure). However, this is only a cosmetic change, since the file is not gzipped. -- update-pciids weird behavior https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/113569 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 113569] update-pciids weird behavior
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pciutils update-pciids.sh downloads a newer version of the pci.ids file. If available, it first downloads an bzip2 version of the file, then a gzipped one, then the plain text version. Then, it decompresses it and stores it in a plain, uncompressed text file. However, there is a debian patch that tries to modify it so it keeps the gzipped version. However, the patch doesn't work, and ends creating a /usr/share/misc/pci.ids.gz file, that's not gzipped. lspci however, reads first the .gz, and it works though it's not gzipped. That's why it has gone unnoticed. Steps to reproduce: With a clear installation: $ls -l /usr/share/misc/pci.ids* -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 428084 2007-03-05 11:51 /usr/share/misc/pci.ids $ sudo update-pciids --12:54:47-- http://pciids.sourceforge.net/v2.2/pci.ids.bz2 => `/usr/share/misc/pci.ids.gz.new' Resolviendo pciids.sourceforge.net... 66.35.250.209 Conectando a pciids.sourceforge.net|66.35.250.209|:80... conectado. [Bug 74927] Re: No automated icon
In the 3.6-1 package, the deb maintainer added the --no-mime flag since evince already was thumbnailing cbr's and cbz's. However, they didn't remove the gconf schema that pointed the thumbnails to comicthumb, so evince's work was undone. As a workaround, if you reinstall evince after comix gets installed, the thumbnails go back to life (delete the contents of the /home/you/.thumbnails/fail/ directory to make sure they get another chance). In 3.6.2 the deb maintainer removed the flag and kept the gconf schema, so the thumbnailing goes back to comix and out from evince. Trouble is, that way evince and comix are "fighting" for the thumbnailing of x-cbr and x-cbz (x-cbt are not touched by evince). Shall we go the debian way, or remove entirely the comix thumbnailing capabilities, leaving them to evince? -- No automated icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/74927 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
