[Bug 1257153] Re: Option "AreaBottomEdge" ignores other areas when active
I have a similar issue with my click pad (Dell XPS 15). The issue is well described in the upstream project there: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66532 The patch suggested by one maintainer (Kit Westneat) fixes the issue as far as I am concerned, and I can finally keep my fingers on the buttons without blocking the mouse movement done with the other finger. I attach the (modified) patch to add to the package to solve the issue. To test: apt-get source xserver-xorg-input-synaptics cp path/to/fix_multitouch_outside_area.patch xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-1.8.2/debian/patches/ echo fix_multitouch_outside_area.patch >> xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-1.8.2/debian/patches/series cd xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-1.8.2 dpkg-buildpackage cd .. sudo dpkg -i xserver-xorg-input-synaptics_1.8.2-1ubuntu3_amd64.deb reboot and tell synaptics to ignore the bottom clickpad area: xinput set-prop 12 "Synaptics Area" 0, 0, 0, 800 Result: I can now keep my left thumb on the bottom left button while moving the cursor with the right hand. ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #66532 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66532 ** Patch added: "fix_multitouch_outside_area.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1257153/+attachment/4813085/+files/fix_multitouch_outside_area.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1257153 Title: Option "AreaBottomEdge" ignores other areas when active To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1257153/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 681963] Re: plugin-container uses 100% of CPU and does not release the resources after tabs are closed
I can reproduce this problem and I have some more precisions: - This seem to happens only when using a flash NetStream object AND from the point a microphone source (using the attachAudio method) is attached to it, AND only if the microphone is muted in the sound preferences. Once the problem started, trying to detach the audio source using attachAudio(null) doesn't stop the problem. Furthermore, it seems that appart from the high CPU load, the disk is also used intensively, maybe used by buffers or something like that. I have found this bug when working on the website that I am currently developing (www.chatocracy.com/webcam-chat) and where the bug can be repeated each time a video call is initiated. I use ubuntu 10.10 with firefox and flash 10.2.152.27 Fabien ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: Expired = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/681963 Title: plugin-container uses 100% of CPU and does not release the resources after tabs are closed -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Can you try the trick described by Zdeněk Janák: I had the same problem on ATI Radeon 9200 PRO. Disable Option EnablePageFlip in Device Section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf fix it. It should looks like this Section Device Identifier Device0 Driver radeon Option EnablePageFlip off EndSection Or just comment out or remove the line, becose disable is the default value for radeon driver. -- Stellarium crashes on startup (ATI Radeon graphics card) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/481669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 480553] Re: [Lucid] Display refresh not working correctly (please upgrade to new upstream release)
Dear all, I just released a minor release 0.10.4 fixing further bugs. the main impact on linux is that we now disabled OpenGL shaders by default for stars and atmosphere rendering as it seemed to cause problems on some configs, especially for some intel GMA graphics cards with no hardware (but software emulation) support for vertex shaders. If it's still possible I would suggest to use this release instead of 0.10.3 as it should be more robust.
