[Bug 392801] [NEW] CSS style rules disappears

2009-06-27 Thread Felipe Perucho
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kompozer

I'm using Kompozer 0.8a4 from ppa on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty. I create a
style rule for a certain div, then I edit text in that div and style
rule disappears completely. This happens randomly, or at least I can't
determine a rule. Anyway, this bug appears quite often when working with
css.

[Bug 375506] [NEW] Can't open php files, and kompozer is the predeterminate option

2009-05-12 Thread Felipe Perucho
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kompozer

I'm running Kompozer 0.8a3 (ppa version) on Ubuntu 9.04. I can't open

[Bug 375516] [NEW] No easy way to copy paste code from a page to another

2009-05-12 Thread Felipe Perucho
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kompozer

I'm running Kompozer 0.8a3 on Ubuntu 9.04. I find not easy to copy parts
of code from one page to another. These are the problems I find (please
tell me if you want these in separate bug reports):

1. I expected to open two pages on two diferent Kompozer windows, put
them on source view and copy paste from one to another parts of
code, but Paste option remains unaccesible even when I cut. Curiously,
simultaneous clic on both mouse buttons works right. Probably this is
not an exclusive Komposer bug, because I have had similar problems with
Firefox and Openoffice...

2. I then try to open both pages in the same window, but when I change
to source view, I lose tabs, so I can't change (easily) to the other
page to paste the code.

3. Finally, I tried the split view, which is right, except that I have
code outside my screen in highlighted mode (see attached image), and
when I click over the code, I lose highlight (a pity that I can bear),
and can only see parts of code at a time, feature that in this context
is not the best option.

I know that you are working hard on the source view, and that you are
looking after a good solution. I hope that this real life examples
help... If you prefer this kind of reports in other context, please tell
me.

Re: [Bug 374062] Re: Can't edit while search dialog is open

2009-05-10 Thread Felipe Perucho
Thank you for your quick answer. Lets try to be more clear:

Quick explanation:

I expected to write on the source without closing the find and replace
dialog window (see attached image).

Long explanation:

Lets say that you want to modify some text that you know that it's near the
expresion name, and lets say that you have to repeat that action ten
times. Then you go to Find and replace and search name. I think that it
should be better if you could modify that text near name without closing
the Find and replace dialog, so after modification you can go to the next
name easily. Of course, you can close the Find and replace dialog and
then use F3 to search the next name, but thats not intuitive.

Obviously, it is not an ugly bug... just a sugestion to improve
Kompozer. :)

2009/5/9 Ben Crisford webmas...@bencrisford.exofire.net

A bit more information would be brill if thats ok.

First of all, it would be better if you didn't rely on the title to
 explain the bug :).

Also, could you tell us how you produced this problem in detail, because
people such as me - new to kompozer might struggle to try and reproduce
 it.

And one other thing; as I said, I am new to kompozer, and for the bug to
be confirmed we need to know what you would have expected to happen when
you took the actions which produced the bug.

Please don't be put off by these criteria, they're just there to get
bugs fixed as quickly and efficently as possible. And thank you for
 your bug report!

 Regards,
 Ben

[Bug 374378] [NEW] Insert Form Define button doesn't work properly

2009-05-10 Thread Felipe Perucho
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kompozer

I'm running kompozer 0.8a3 (ppa version) on Ubuntu 9.04. When I want to
insert a Submit button in a form, I try Insert Form Define
button. If I select type Submit and value Send dta!, I got this
code:

button value=Send data!/button

which shows an unusable button.

I'm not an expert, so I've googled and found that the right code should
be:

2009-05-09 Thread Felipe Perucho
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kompozer

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and Kompozer 0.8a3 (ppa version). A feature present in
Kompozer 7.10 is (at the moment) missing. When you create a new css style rule,
for example a custom rule for an specific #div, Kompozer used to show you a
list of identified #div blocks in your page. That was sweet. There were also
some very useful example identificators (h1, h2, #header, #body, etc.) in those
lists.
Anyway, CSS works right. Its just a feature request.

[Bug 374048] [NEW] Unable to manage css from normal design view

2009-05-09 Thread Felipe Perucho
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kompozer

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and Kompozer 0.8a3 (ppa version). This is a feature
request for future releases; it was also a problem in Kompozer 7.10, and it
seems to me that needs a lot of job. Anyway, there it goes. When you position
divs through css, you can't easily add text or whatever outside them, because
Kompozer adds it in the natural position, without considering css
positioning, so you usually are writing behind a css layer... so you see
nothing of what you write.
The posibility of hiding any of the blocks in the normal design view should, in
my opinion, solve the problem.
It should also help that the html tags view respect the css positioning of
divs. You can see what I mean in the attached image.
