I did the same thing as they did here:

Removing ICC profile worked for me. But Not only that. I had to use
xgamma in order to get colors more accurately. Well the colors are
better but I still don

Well, I still don't get the same colors as I have on Mac or Windows
using the same display. But it is a lot better than before

[Bug 1902899] [NEW] Color management is not quite good

2020-11-04 Thread Flávio Vivório Salles
Public bug reported:

While attempting to work with software like Figma, Inskcape and Gimp I
noticed that the screen I have doesn't show colors like in my iMac or in
WIndows. When I plug the same display on my laptop running Ubuntu 20.04
the colors just looks very opaque and desaturated. I looked on the web
for a tool to fix this but it just doesn't exist. I think this could be
a bug or a a problem with drivers. But theres no proprietary drivers for
this machine. The open source Intel drivers are just terrible. I suggest
Ubuntu developers include potentiometers to manage color saturation,
contrast, brightness and temperature under the "Color" tab on Ubuntu
settings pannel. When I go to the color section of the settings pannel
it only allows me to chose a color profile but I can't even adjust color
settings. I really wish Linux systems be more usable when it comes to
work with graphic software in the future.

My system info:

[Bug 1900260] [NEW] Ubuntu 20.04 LTS have a low video quality, bad color management and the screen keeps tearing

2020-10-17 Thread Flávio Vivório Salles
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS have a low video quality, bad color management and the
screen keeps tearing. I guess maybe those are part of the same problem.
I thinks that there's maybe an issue with xorg on Intel graphics card or
probably an issue with the Mesa driver. I don't really know. The screen
keeps tearing even after I did this:

sudo mkdir /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d
sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

Section "Device"
   Identifier "Intel Graphics"
   Driver "intel"
   Option "TearFree""true"
EndSection

Those are the informations I collected:

[Bug 1897422] Re: Linux kernel headers just won't install

I was trying to install the 20.04.1 LTS, last week I installed the 20.04
LTS version on a similar laptop (also Lenovo Ideapad) and it worked very
well. The 20.04.1 is not finding Windows 10 in a separate partition. I
guess is a bug on 20.04.1.

[Bug 1424039] [NEW] slow window switching and loads very slowly after login

2015-02-20 Thread Flávio Vivório Salles
Public bug reported:

I believe that this bug is on the LXDE 'cause it was working very good
and loading very quickly and when I updated the system yesterday
(14.04.2, right?) it just begin to get weird. But maybe it could be a
fault of my AMD C-70 APU with Radeon HD Graphics. I don't know. I'm
reporting this bug because I just update the system and this bug just
happened.
