[Bug 1828116] Re: Password works uppercase and lowercase

2019-05-17 Thread G S
How can they be related to this issue though? I would look for keyboard
issues more than video drivers. Could these errors be happening because
I have another monitor connected? I will try again without another
monitor connected.

[Bug 1828116] Re: Password works uppercase and lowercase

2019-05-15 Thread G S
> Do you get the issue in the lock screen as well on only on the boot greeter?
Yes

> Could you try adding another user to the system and see if it has the
same bug?

Here are my steps:
1. Add a new user with a password made of lowercase, numbers and a % sign
1. Lock the screen
1. "Login as another user"
1. Use the lowercase password
1. Logged in
1. Lock the screen
1. Use the same password, with capslock on
1. Logged in

To be clear, it works when:
* There is an external keyboard connected to the laptop and I use the external
keyboard
* There is an external keyboard connected to the laptop and I use the internal
keyboard
* There is no external keyboard connected to the laptop and I use the internal
keyboard

If you have any pointers, I'm happy to help by providing logs and
looking at/building some code. I won't touch any config until we sort
this out

2015-04-06 Thread Butler G. S. P.
I found I have the exact same bug, and that my laptop, a Dell Inspiron
5548, is similar to one mentioned in an article which led me here. I
discovered the problem on upgrading to 15.04, from 14.10. If I can
provide any system information which can help the problem's
identification, please tell me what to do.

[Bug 1023968] Re: usb_quirk(4) - example using usbconfig See Also: usbconfig(5) - nonexistent

2013-01-23 Thread G. S.
True but if you look at the package description of freebsd-manpages: apt-cache
show freebsd-manpages it clearly says:
This package contains a selection of manual pages from FreeBSD that are
 useful on a GNU/kFreeBSD system:
2 = System calls (functions provided by the kernel)
4 = Special files (usually found in /dev)
  9 = Kernel routines

So all manpages of section 5 are NOT included. I know the included
manpages referencing manpages not shipped should be edited, if you can
figure out a great sed oneliner, let me know...

[Bug 1017321] [NEW] Wifi disconnections

2012-06-24 Thread G S Bajaj
Public bug reported:

Hi,

When i start the machine, the wifi connects but it gets disonnected
within seconds. and the tries to reconnect and asks for wifi password,
but never connects again.

My wifi is working fine on my other laptop. On this machine too it was
