I see the system is guessing this is a fresh install. That is correct. Laptop came with Windows10, but I bought it to learn and use Ubuntu. First installed ZorinOS Pro (dual boot with Win10) Then I later installed Ubuntu. HDD currently had Windows10, Zorin OS Pro, and Ubuntu. TrackPad works under Windows, so it's not a hardware issue. Any help is appreciated. This is not critical, though, as I can use a USB mouse. I'm just learning to t-shoot and resolve issues in Ubuntu, as I learn my way around the O/S and linux commands in terminal. Thanks so much! Public bug reported: Laptop model directly from the sticker of the computer. IdeaPad 3 15IIL05 / Model Name 81WE (Manufactured Sep 26, 2020) Serial No. PF2EH5VV MTM: 81WE011UUS Manufacturer of the Touchpad. I have been all over the site, and they tell about everything except the trackpad. When the symptom first appeared. I installed Ubuntu on the Laptop to learn Linux. Trackpad never worked. Have to use a USB mouse. Also installed Zorin, but that's based on Ubuntu kernel, so same issue there. Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS 64 bit GNOME Version 3.36.8 Windowing System X11 Trackpad doesn't respond at all. I don't see any sign of a trackpad driver installed. I hope the system sent the list of drivers detected. I tried to copy/paste, buy website wouldn't accept the paste. I am new to Linux / Ubuntu, so...
