Public bug reported: Gnome terminal keeps crashing for me several times a day; I haven't been able to reproduce it consistently but it's happening I am scrolling the window. $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS Release:20.04 $ apt-cache policy gnome-terminal gnome-terminal: Installed: 3.36.2-1ubuntu1~20.04 Candidate: 3.36.2-1ubuntu1~20.04 Version table: *** 3.36.2-1ubuntu1~20.04 500 500 http://gr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.36.1.1-1ubuntu1 500 500 http://gr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Apport crash file" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1910870/+attachment/5451341/+files/_usr_libexec_gnome-terminal-server.1000.crash -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1910870 Title: gnome-terminal-server crashed with SIGABRT in g_assertion_message_cmpnum To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1910870/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 986692] Re: Re-Muted Sound Effects doesn't play.
The description is incomplete/misleading; in my case at least the bug was that re-unmuting sound effects after muting them had no effect. After poking with it a bit, I think I just isolated it: it only happens when instead of unckecking the "Mute" checkbox on "Alert volume" you reset the slider and the checkbox is automatically unchecked. Visually the end result is the same (non-zero volume leve and unckecked box) but how you get there has different effect. By the way the "Output volume" slider doesn't have this problem, only the "Alert volume". Hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/986692 Title: Re-Muted Sound Effects doesn't play.
