Re: [Bug 1246203] Re: Mouse pointer does not appear
The bug is still there... I'm going to try the daily live cd image as soon as I get new batteries for my bluetooth mouse and give a feedback. 2014/1/10 Christopher M. Penalver christopher.m.penal...@gmail.com Gorgonilla, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-input-evdev REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. [Bug 1246203] [NEW] Mouse point does not appear
Public bug reported: It's a weird thing: I have an Apple magic mouse connected via bluetooth to my Dell XPS 13 laptop. When gnome shell starts, the mouse pointer is is not shown on the screen... however if a move the mouse, the pointer it is still not shown but it actually moves... if fact if I keep moving the mouse towards NW (that is where the top left corner of the screen is) the gnome shell overview mode is activated. In order to make my mouse pointer visible, I have to touch the touchpad. From that moment on, the mouse pointer will be visible. It's a minor thing but it can be annoying especially if you disable the touchpad. [Bug 1243539] Re: Black screen on Dell XPS 13 (L322X) with Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 x64 live media
...as additional information, I booted with a live media (Ubuntu 13.10 x64 Gnome edition) and I have connected an external monitor (screen mirroring). The interesting thing is that if I press fn f4/f5 keys, the hud indicator (that is also displayed on the external monitor) shows me brightness icon and the bar going left and right but nothing happens on the laptop screen. Also I tried with: cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/actual_brightness that initially gives me 4845 and then values change while pressing the fn keys and repeating the above command. So it seems that device is recognized by the system but changes have no effect on the physical device. Got it. It works, thanks! I'm wondering how this goes with normal users... I mean, the sputnik ppa says that for raring the ppa it is not required as the path is in merged to main. But this is not actually true as it is in raring-proposed (that is not enabled by default). Re: [Bug 659699] Re: Evolution crashes while dragging an email attachment to an appointment in the calendar
Dear Pedro, just to make sure I'm doing right: I do enable apport Restart Re create the bug in evolution Click on Report bug from evolution menu Fill in the informations etc... Then, will the .crash file be added automatically, or do I have to search into /var/crash folder and attach the .crash file manually? 2010/10/13 Pedro Villavicencio pe...@ubuntu.com Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- Evolution crashes while dragging an email attachment to an appointment in the calendar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/659699 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. I'm using POP. I've created a new account on Ubuntu and set up the email for him. It works.
