It is more likely to be a gliche which ocurred prior to the power shutdown of my computer. Once both power and the menu bar were restored, no further problem has recurred. Both appear stable. Also computer shut down for no apparent reason. The latter may relate to the former. Is this an option normally available through short cut keys? Cannot think of anything else relevant.
