[Bug 1631788] Re: nvidia-libopencl1 does not create link for libOpenCL.so

2016-10-09 Thread Heinz Peter Hippenstiel
** Description changed:

I realised that Handbrake tried to open the OpenCL library and reported
it unavailable. I did a trace and saw that it was trying to open
libOpenCL.so - indeed this is not available since libOpenCL.so.1.0.0
only has softlinks against libOpenCL.so.1.0 and libOpenCL.so.1 but not
  libOpenCL.so. Why is that missing?

[Bug 1220426] Re: [nvidia-prime]Freeze while using touchpad

2015-06-01 Thread Heinz Peter Hippenstiel
Not one single freeze within the last six weeks! Yipieh!

I guess the packages I compiled will work under Ubuntu 14.04(.x) also
since MINT 17.1 it's just another layer on top of it.

[Bug 1220426] Re: [nvidia-prime]Freeze while using touchpad

2015-04-19 Thread Heinz Peter Hippenstiel
Mh, I hate 4share - full of ads. I've compiled the files under MINT 17.1
and uploaded them to my space under http://j0t.de/gfx/ namely xserver-
common_1.15.1-0ubuntu2.7_all.deb and xserver-xorg-
core_1.15.1-0ubuntu2.7_amd64.deb

Looks good since two days for me. *thumbsup*

Don't forget to lock the versions or the next update will overwrite the
files.

[Bug 583428] Re: if ( users-admin - password: Not asked on login) gnome-keyring-daemon hangs

2010-06-02 Thread Heinz Peter Hippenstiel
I confirm that using fingerprints the same behaviour appears as I
already reported in 573387.

Using pam thinkfinger g-k-d does not have --login:
19611 ?Sl 0:00 /usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon --daemonize

Using a password to login everything works fine:
19782 ?Sl 0:00 /usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon --daemonize --login

HP

PS: Nearby pam_winbind was causing troubles and I used 'sudo pam-auth-
update --force' to fix it (disabled Winbind authentication) and maybe
initially messed it up that way. I was not able to authenticate using my
password but due to thinkfinger I still had the chance to recover.

Actually neither - I usually use thinkfinger to login and I always have
a password set.
