[Bug 826479] Re: Comming back from suspend takes alot longer

2011-08-15 Thread Ian Corne
In order to boot to different kernels I have to uninstall nvidia-current.
With doing this, i get thrown into unity-2d, in which suspend works as expected.
I can't get unity 3D to run properly, also not on older kernels without the
nvidia-current driver.

Is there a way to make DKMS build it for the other kernels too?

snd_pcm_avail_delay() returned strange values: delay 0 is less than avail 40.
  2 Mar 19 10:18:49 quadian pulseaudio[1808]: alsa-util.c: Most likely this is

[Bug 598849] [NEW] After reboot after update, alot more memory is used

2010-06-26 Thread Ian Corne
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dpkg

I'm not sure dpkg is the one to blame.

When booting after an update, 747mb/1000mb ram is used. When i boot
normally, only 150mb is used.

It's only the first boot after an update.

This cripples the systems with only 1gb pretty hard.

ProblemType: Bug

The memory usage in top/htop ps does not add up to the total amount used
shown. I've read that kernel memory/processes is/are not shown in
top/htop/ps so that might be where the big user is.

However:

libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/dri/r600_dri.so
libGL: Can't open configuration file /etc/drirc: No such file or directory.
libGL: Can't open configuration file /home/icorne/.drirc: No such file or

direct rendering: Yes

I don't know what that is tho.

The theme plymouth-theme-spinfinity also breaks booting.

[Bug 552702] [NEW] Installing fglrx results in booting to safe-graphics mode

2010-03-31 Thread Ian Corne
Public bug reported:

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
Release:10.04

$ apt-cache policy fglrx
fglrx:
  Installed: 2:8.721-0ubuntu7
  Candidate: 2:8.721-0ubuntu7

I installed it via the jockey-gtk tool.
After rebooting it threw me into a black screen with the option to either let
it generate a general config file, or a hardware specific one.
I selected generic and now I don't have direct rending.
Compiz is disabled.

The old xorg.conf file (before the generic one [ which is actually no
file at all] ) had this content:

$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf-backup-100331192102

Section Screen
Identifier Default Screen
DefaultDepth24

Section Module
Loadglx

[Bug 540649] Re: mission-control-5 crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke()

2010-03-29 Thread Ian Corne
Just had the same crash on Lucid, when double clicking on a contact to open a
chat window.
After the crash, no new windows want to open, even after restarting empathy.

[Bug 194494] Re: telepathy-butterfly crashed with NotImplementedError in _on_error()

2010-03-29 Thread Ian Corne
Just got this crash,

I've got myself on my own contact list too.

I didn't see anything that would lead to this crash, nor do I see
anything not working afterwards either.
