[Bug 1247974] Re: network don't work after longtime suspend mode

2014-08-17 Thread IanH
Closing the lid on my netbook initiates Suspend mode. When I switch the
netbook back on the Wifi does not work on Ubuntu 14.04 but it did work
on previous releases 12.04, 11.04, etc. I have to Restart to get Wifi
working again.

[Bug 942885] Re: battery-indicator not updated

2012-06-10 Thread IanH
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1008050 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1008050

After connection of AC and then disconnecting, the power indicator seems
to work correctly. This seems to be an initialisation problem on power
up, power management should check the current status of AC supply.

[Bug 942885] Re: battery-indicator not updated

2012-06-10 Thread IanH
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 ona Acer Netbook ZG5 and the battery icon
behaviour is erratic, sometimes it detects that AC is disconnected but
other times it doesn't. Today I switched on with the AC disconnected
because the charger had been connected all night so the battery is fully
charged but the battery indicator shows that AC is connected. The detail
just states the battery is fully charged when it should state how many
hours of bettery life remain.
