[Bug 1037629] Re: latex installation with kile

2012-08-16 Thread Idokus
workaround for now is remove the utf8x ofcourse, but the template should
work out of the box.

two suggested fixes:
1) adjust the templates, or 2) deliver it with the correct latex distribution
that contains this file in the ls-R hash.
I would say the latter, but that should be more work.

Close it, I'm using ImageMagick 6.6.2-6 at the moment, and a newer
version of CImg. (Kubuntu 11.04) And I don't seem to have this problem
anymore.

[Bug 389680] Re: opening an image in c++ results in MissingDelegateError

2009-08-23 Thread Idokus
I actually tried that, but the recompiling/configuring ImageMagick did
not work for me: I couldn't get it to compile with the png/jpeg options.

I tried several options, I even tried to compile more recent releases
from the respective software developers, but I could not get it to
compile satisfactory, with the enabled png/jpeg support. (I even tried
editing the makefiles... but that was more out of disparation, then
anything else.)

I also tried several different approaches in compiling cImg.

(I was lucky to find a program which more or less did what I had
programmed, and compiled/used to run using the repositories of ubuntu
8.10/8.04)

I think it is an ImageMagick-development problem because, it did compile
and run using the repositories of ubuntu 8.10. (More accurately, I think
it's a dependency problem between the current build/repository
ImageMagick-dev and CImg-dev)

[Bug 389680] [NEW] opening an image in c++ results in MissingDelegateError

2009-06-19 Thread Idokus
Public bug reported:

I am using CImg-dev icm. ImageMagick++ to open a file:

using namespace cimg_library;
CImg comp = CImg( "image.png" );

it compiles, but it results in a Error::MissingDelegate

Description:Ubuntu 9.04
Release:9.04

Versions of the packages are recent downloaded. Magic version 6.4.5

What I found peculiar: in the Delegates it states jpeg and png (amongst others)
but at the LIBS it does load -ljpeg but not -lpng
identify -list configure:
(..)
DELEGATES bzlib djvu freetype gvc jpeg jp2 lcms openexr png tiff x11 xml
wmf zlib
(..)
LIBS -lMagickCore -llcms -ltiff -lfreetype -ljpeg -lXext -lSM -lICE
-lX11 -lXt -lbz2 -lz -lm -lgomp -lpthread -lltdl

[Bug 287223] [NEW] missing dependency in package cgal-dev

2008-10-21 Thread Idokus
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: libcgal-dev

I installed cgal, cgal-dev, cgal-demo.

I tried to compile my project using cgal and I got the error message:

"/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgfortran"

(At the other computer it build without errors)

I tried to build some of the demo applications, I got the same error.

I removed the line "-lgfortran" (and the '\' from the previous line) from
/usr/share/cgal/cgal.mk
and the projects build again.)

suggested sollution:

either remove the "-lgfortran" from /usr/share/cgal/cgal.mk
or
add the dependency to allow -lgfortran

[Bug 134477] Re: Nikon cameras need support in unusual_devs.h

2008-06-03 Thread Idokus
It's a bit off topic perhaps, but I've got a work around on getting the
images off the Nikon D40, and possibly the other camera's aswell

set the camera in [settings] => [USB] to MTP/PTP,

then ubuntu will prompt for extraction of images in hardy heron.
(I don't know which firmware, I bought the camera quite recently)

[Bug 173788] Re: tex-live usepackage a4wide missing required a4.sty

2007-12-04 Thread Idokus
I got installed:

texlive-base
texlive-base-bin
texlive-common
texllive-doc-base
texlive-fonts-recommended
texlive-latex-base
texlive-music

So I have got latex package a4wide installed via synaptic in one of the
above. But a4.sty was not included.

I have not installed texlive-latex-recommended.

[Bug 173788] tex-live usepackage a4wide missing required a4.sty

2007-12-03 Thread Idokus
Public bug reported:

When I tried to use package a4wide ( \usepackage{a4wide} ) in kile and compiled
it
with pdflatex said it required a4.sty which was not available found on my
installed
ubuntu (gutsy) machine.

sollution:
worked - I searched for it on the internet, and copied that file to where my
tex document was, and it compiled.

but it should work out of the box (when tex-live is installed), of
course.

I installed kile with tex-live support. (don't remember which package)
