[Bug 1588915] Re: ifup does not block for interface to be up with static addresses
I'm also affected by this issue. So network-online.target and network.target are a good catch all that should work, but also there should be a way to wait on a particular (especially statically configured) interface to be up. I had the same problem, and then tried aptitude, and it proposed to
downgrade 2 packages (sun-java6-{bin,jre}) and it worked.
