[Bug 1970726] Re: Software Updater Cannot Upgrade 21.10 to 22.04 LTS
@enrOn Thanks for the response. Just to inform, if you manually launch the Ubuntu Software Updater GUI and select "Upgrade..." to 22.04 LTS, it still does NOT upgrade 21.10 to 22.04 LTS. The one time that work is when the system pop-up and offer the option to upgrade 21.10 to 22.04 LTS. If not mistaken the snap Chromium Wayland issue should be resolve with snap Chromium 102.0.5005.40 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1897454 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970726 Title: Software Updater Cannot Upgrade 21.10 to 22.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1970726/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1970726] Re: Software Updater Cannot Upgrade 21.10 to 22.04 LTS
Today, received system pop-up offer to upgrade 21.10 to 22.04 LTS. Select/Click "Upgrade" and upgrade proceeded successfully. But unfortunately snap Firefox (replaced .deb Firefox previously installed) and snap Chromium (replaced .deb Chromium previously installed) does NOT launch if options/flags for Wayland had been enabled for snap Firefox or snap Chromium. Furthermore both snap Firefox and snap Chromium uses a much older mesa 21.0.3. The default Ubuntu-Jammy mesa 22.0.1-1ubuntu2 arm64 seems to have compatibility issues with Amlogic Arm64 SOC. Visual artifacts/glitches like flickering mouse pointer, mouse pointer disappear, Top Bar Menu Flicker when Chromium or Firefox is runing webglsamples Aquarium for example. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970726 Title: Software Updater Cannot Upgrade 21.10 to 22.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1970726/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1970726] Re: Software Updater Cannot Upgrade 21.10 to 22.04 LTS
I have another USB Flash with Ubuntu-Impish-Desktop Ubuntu-Gnome using kernel from Armbian linux-image-edge-meson64 (kernel version 5.15.32-meson64). Launch the Software Updater. The output: The software on this computer is up to date. However, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is now available (you have 21.10). Selected "Upgrade..." Button. The same result as reported earlier. The "Software Updater" just quit and nothing happened.

[Bug 1576424] Re: Gimp crashes with text tool & caps lock
Upon writting the bug in Arch's bug report tracker (bug: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/49949), I tryed to reproduce. And ater reading that it seems to have a relation to GTK+ and that it was fixed (read it here by clicking at: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=648419), I concluded: Seems like they (??) forgot to fix the issue regarding the layer's name dialogs. The bug seems to be non-existent in Arch regarding the "Text Tool" but still present when regarding the layer's name editor. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1576424 Title: Gimp crashes with text tool & caps lock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/1576424/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 315740]
Nearly two years after this bug has been opened, the problem is not completely fixed: the Breton keyboard is still using the private use characters UF8FD, UF8FE, UF8FF, UF8FA, UF8FB and UF8FC and six lines, such as UF8FD : c’h UF8FE : C’h UF8FF : C’H UF8FA : ch UF8FB : Ch UF8FC : CH must be added manually in the file ~/.XCompose for the keyboard to work correctly. Wouldn't it be possible to make six new keysyms for those trigraphs and digraphs ? If the keysyms trigraph_c_h, trigraph_C_h, trigraph_C_H, digraph_ch, digraph_Ch and digraph_CH were available, it would be possible to add trigraph_c_h : c’h trigraph_C_h : C’h trigraph_C_H : C’H digraph_ch : ch digraph_Ch : Ch digraph_CH : CH in the /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose file and the bug would be fixed. Instead of trigraph_c_h, trigraph_C_h, trigraph_C_H, digraph_ch, digraph_Ch and digraph_CH, you could use the names c_h, C_h, C_H, ch, Ch and CH (I think they aren't used yet). In this case, the six lines to add in the file in the /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose would be c_h : c’h C_h : C’h C_H : C’H ch : ch Ch : Ch CH : CH -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/315740 Title: Breton keyboard layout C'HWERTY not supported To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xkeyboard-config/+bug/315740/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Bonjour Xavier, I guess that your Ubuntu version is Oneiric and that Psensor is not 0.6.1.9 (version in the Oneiric repo) but a more recent one (at least 0.6.2.10). Could you please confirm and gives the exact Psensor version (apt-cache show psensor) ? I also assume that you have checked the 'Hide Window Decoration' option in the Psensor preferences. What do you mean by 'not movable'? If you have checked the 'Hide Window Decoration' option, it is normal that the window title bar is not visible, so you cannot use the title bar to move the window and you don't have the close button. You should be able to move the window by positioning the mouse in the window then press alt+left mouse button and move the mouse. You can use alt+f4 to close the window. The window placement of Psensor is managed by Unity and not Psensor, so you should open a report to the package Unity (maybe it is already reported). If sometimes the window is over the dock bar, it is a Unity issue like for the placement. If you check the 'Keep Window Below' option of Psensor, it is not always lower than the dock bar? [Bug 859724] Re: PSensor as startup applications goes over Unity dock
Xavier, I am reproducing the issue. It appears that it is due to the fact that Psensor is started before the WM is handling the windows placement. /etc/xdg/autostart/psensor.desktop does not set X-GNOME-Autostart-Phase, so it should be the 'Applications' phase (which is after the WM). Setting this attribute to Applications does not change the issue. Anyway, I don't know if Unity is supposed to support it. But.. X-GNOME-Autostart-Delay seems to work (I set it to 30), psensor is started ~30s after Unity and its window is placed correctly. Maybe not very clean, but at least it will avoid the need to manually quit or move the psensor windows at each startup. I am going to commit this workaround and hope that some Unity people can provide a better solution. ** Changed in: unity Status: New = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/859724 Title: PSensor as startup applications goes over Unity dock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/859724/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 811003] Re: Psensor application indicator should use a mono-color icon
The icons in situation: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/80176476/appindicator.png It looks nice! I have just 2 comments: - the bottom of the thermometer is cut at the bottom (the bottom shadow too). It is visible when the icon is used in the launcher entry but not for application indicator. - the warning version of the icon does not seem to raise enough the attention, is it possible to have a larger one in order to increase the red area? [Bug 804757] Re: liferea should show number of new items in unity badge
Pavol, I don't understand what you mean by and I cannot get point.. I guess that you would prefer that the Launcher count is the number of new messages instead of the number of unread messages. I believe that it is more important to know the number of unread messages than the number of unread messages since the last feed update. At least, that's my very personal need. Anyway, if evolution and empathy display the *new* messages count, it is probably a good argument to be coherent for liferea too. I am only the person who did this unity patch, not a liferea author or Ubuntu developer. I could easily change the behaviour, it only requires to change feedlist_get_unread_item_count by feedlist_get_new_item_count in src/ui_unity.c (it can also be an option) but I think that we should wait a Ubuntu (Ayatana?) agrees or a large number of people votes for this change. [Bug 732848] Re: Feature request: add unread items count in the Unity Launcher entry
Subscribed release-team to ask for a Feature Freeze Exception. Rationnal: Natty is going to introduce Unity. I think that adding support of the Launcher entry count in an application like Liferea which has a significant number of users, is good to promote Unity. Anyway, it is definitively not a critical or major feature addition, more a 'nice to have' one. The feature implementation can be retrieved from: lp:~jfi/liferea/fix-for-bug-732848 . It has been reviewed and approved by Ken VanDine. The diff can be retrieved from: https://code.launchpad.net/~jfi/liferea/fix-for-bug-732848/+merge/53010/+preview-diff/+files/preview.diff The package is compiling and installing in a clean way without issues. You can see the log or/and test the packaging from my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~jfi/+archive/liferea/+packages. AFAIK, the changes does not introduce any regression, bug or issues or break packages which depends on it. Note, that the binary packages has a new dependence to Unity packages. [Bug 572981] [NEW] Cannot cancel disk check during computer startup after a while
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: plymouth To reproduce: - brutal stop of the computer (switch off power) - start the computer - a disk check will occur with the message 'press C to cancel all disk check' - wait few seconds (typically until the % grows slowdown) - press 'c' key = checking continue until 100% If 'c' key is pressed quickly after the check start, it cancel the disk check It sounds similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/562811 except that I don't hit the cancel key quickly and even with the fix of this bug it does not fix my case. ** Affects: plymouth (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Cannot cancel disk check during computer startup after a while https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572981 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 573346] [NEW] Clicking on traybar icon does not show liferea when minimized
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: liferea Step to reproduce: - launch liferea - click on the minimize window button - click on the traybar icon of liferea = liferea does not popup xchat and pidgin popup when clicking on the traybar icon even if minimized. I don't know if it should be considered as a bug or if this behaviour is expected but at least my expectation is that all applications work the same way. liferea --version Liferea 1.6.2 Ubuntu 10.04 ** Affects: liferea (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: lucid -- Clicking on traybar icon does not show liferea when minimized https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
