[Bug 1158264] [NEW] Title bar becomes inactive when window is unmaximised
Public bug reported: I noticed a problem affecting some programs under 13.04 How to reproduce: * open a window, for example file manager * drag the window to the top of the screen so that it is maximised * drag the window back to the desktop to un-maximise it Expected: * windows works as usual, title bar buttons active and window can be moved Observed: * window cannot be moved by dragging title bar (but Alt+ mouse drag still works) * close, minimize and maximize buttons do not work, clicking on them has no effect * some of the title bar functionality is still there. If I change focus to another window and then click on the affected window's title bar focus changes however buttons still do not work and the window cannot be moved. This affects most of the applications but not all of them. So far I noticed the problem in: firefox, nautilus, thunderbird, rhytmbox and software center The probme does NOT affect: gnome-terminal ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 Package: unity 6.12.0daily13.03.20-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-13.23-generic 3.8.3 Uname: Linux 3.8.0-13-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.9.2-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' Date: Thu Mar 21 11:50:44 2013 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-01-19 (61 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Release amd64 (20121017.5) MarkForUpload: True SourcePackage: unity UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to raring on 2013-03-19 (1 days ago) ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug raring -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1158264 Title: Title bar becomes inactive when window is unmaximised To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1158264/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1144108] Re: Unable to create instances due to QueuePool limit
I still think this is a valid bug. The problem disappeared after nova-network restart and so far it did not come back. What we would like to find out is why did this start happening. There is no proof of this but it may be ralated to long nova-network uptime. Changing the values as you suggested could only delay the problem, there is no guarantee that the root cause is caused by low thresholds. If it was the thresholds why would the problem disappear after restart? Also if you suggest that default values could cause problems should they not be updated? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1144108 Title: Unable to create instances due to QueuePool limit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nova/+bug/1144108/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 843809] Re: Installation problem with external HDD controller
I tested with nodmraid option and it made no difference. My kernel argument list: ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ cat /proc/cmdline noprompt cdrom-detect/try-usb=true file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- nodmraid I tested with "nodmraid" before "--" and behavior was exactly the same. This is buit in fake raid (so software only solution), I do not think they offer any BIOS level configuration, I checked and there is nothing I can do to set it up before my installation. I also used single hard drive for the installation so it there is not much point in creating raid array on it. Regardless of what the reson for this is I think that ubiquity should at least point user into the right direction. My hardware is pretty standard - nForce based motherboard with single hard drive. Less technical users with similar PCs could just assume their hardware is not supported if they cannot see hard drive. I can replicate this every time so if anybody wants me to do more testing I will be happy to help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/843809 Title: Installation problem with external HDD controller To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/843809/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 974667] [NEW] dnsmasq does not bind to a port
Public bug reported: When I boot into the installation CD (kubuntu-12.04-beta2-desktop-i386) DNS service does not work properly. resolv.conf points to 127.0.0.1 which seems correct, /var/run/nm-dns-dnsmasq.conf contains correct nameserver IP. I think it is to do with the fact that nothing listens on port 53. kubuntu@kubuntu:~$ sudo netstat -nlptu|grep 53 udp0 0 0.0.0.0:53530.0.0.0:* 1173/avahi-daemon: udp6 0 0 :::5353 :::* 1173/avahi-daemon: kubuntu@kubuntu:~$ dnsmasq is running: kubuntu@kubuntu:~$ ps -ef|grep /usr/sbin/dnsmasq nobody1275 1191 0 21:17 ?00:00:00 /usr/sbin/dnsmasq --no-resolv --keep-in-foreground --no-hosts --bind-interfaces --pid-file=/var/run/sendsigs.omit.d/network-manager.dnsmasq.pid --listen-address=127.0.0.1 --conf-file=/var/run/nm-dns-dnsmasq.conf --cache-size=0 --proxy-dnssec When I do lsof it show interesting results: kubuntu@kubuntu:~$ sudo lsof|grep 1275 dnsmasq 1275 nobody3r sock0,7 0t0 11578 can't identify protocol dnsmasq 1275 nobody4w FIFO0,8 0t0 11587 pipe dnsmasq 1275 nobody5u FIFO0,8 0t0 11587 pipe dnsmasq 1275 nobody6u unix 0xec3126c0 0t0 11589 socket If I kill the process, recreate /var/run/nm-dns-dnsmasq.conf and start it on the CLI manually everything is fine (I can resolve hostname and and dnsmasq binds to the port 53) kubuntu@kubuntu:~$ sudo netstat -nlput|grep 53 I am using VirtualBox 4.1.12 for testing with almost default config of my VM. It happens every time so if you need any more details I can provide them easily.
