[Bug 1290803] Re: blank Properties window

2014-03-12 Thread Jack Kern
I was able to reproduce the indicator plugin blank window problem, if
you continue using the "close" button, it will work fine until you use
"X" to close the window.

Re: [Bug 1290575] Re: lightdm-gtk-greeter does not exit cleanly when logging in

2014-03-10 Thread Jack Kern
Jackson,

Not from yesterday. This first occurred for me about 1 week ago,
intermittently as I was testing 32 and 64 bit iso for qatracker on vbox vm
around10 installations per day. It was raised on #xubuntu-devel and was
difficult to reproduce.

Hope this helps.

[Bug 1282719] [NEW] install window is not 'sticky'; scroll wheel makes it 'disappear'

2014-02-20 Thread Jack Kern
Public bug reported:

Potential confusion for operators during installation:

During QATracker 14.04 Trusty Tahr Daily testing the install 'window' is
not 'sticky' -- appearing on all workspaces -- using a mouse scroll
wheel while the cursor is on the blank 'desktop' makes the window
'disappear' when actually one is only inadvertently changing the
workspace, which accidental change could confound an unwitting operator
who might not know how to recover the original workspace since there is
no workspace indicator displayed.

One could wonder: Why should there be more than one workspace for
ubiquity?

Alternatively one could ponder that making the default behaviour of the
mouse wheel actuation to change to another workspace is problematic.
